BEER COMPANY STUDY FINDS WATER MAKES YOU FAT

April 20 2010

Washington, D.C. – Above everything else in the world, water is the single most important component of human life. More important than deep dish pizza, more important than flat screen TV’s, more important that iPhones, even more important waterfall
than Facebook, water is essential to our very existence. Comprising 60 per cent of the human body, water is quite literally the lifeblood of the human species and of virtually every other species of life on our planet. Without those other elements our lives might be less interesting, but without water our lives would simply cease.

In recent years people across the world have begun to realize the importance of water. Buoyed by water bottles seemingly glued to the hands of celebrities, the water industry has become a multi-billion dollar business drawing major corporations such as Coke and Pepsi into the game. Because of the growing power of water in everyday life new interest and research into the effects of the liquid on the human body have become more and more common. For health and youth reasons, the generally accepted axiom of eight glasses a day has become a standard but new research indicates that it might not be as healthy as previously believed. A new study jointly commissioned by Anheuser-Busch beer belly
parent InBev and Molson-Coors indicates that certain chemicals in processed water may actually be making people fat and that the mass consumption of the liquid could be the principle cause for the rise in obesity.

“Every knows of the value of water and how important it is to sustaining life by our research indicates that our growing dependence on the drink may be doing to opposite of what people expect. There are pollutants in water, both bottled and tap, that can actually disturb hormonal levels in the body and actually cause weight gain,” said lead researcher Herb Campbell. “While a little water every now and then is fine and possibly even healthy, long term water drinking can lead to serious weight gain and all the diseases that go along with that.”beer

The research does note that beer is primarily water but that the special mix of hops and barley help to negate the effects of the water.

“Obviously anytime something becomes popular it is going to have its detractors and water is no different despite its essential nature in the survival of all human beings. That said, this isn’t the first study that has come along disputing the perception that water is a cure all, though it is the first to actually come out and indict the liquid as harmful to health,” said Scrape TV Business analyst Ken Green. “Chemicals and minerals in water are well known, and the ongoing reliance on water as a standard beverage will of course increase the amount of those materials in people. Too much of anything isn’t good for you, and because water has been built up as this almost magical solution to health and youth concerns, people are getting a lot of it.”beer girls

The alcohol content in beer is also cited as curative tool in combating the toxins present in everyday water.

“One could be cynical about this study and assume that the companies involved are simply trying to get people to drink more beer but that is likely very inaccurate. Big mega corporations like this have a history of doing what is best for the community and for their consumers and I imagine that this situation is no different,” continued Green. “After all, they sell lots and lots of beer so their motivation is likely not that. They want their consumers to live long and happy lives so that they can continue to consume their product for decades to come. Filling them up with lies would be just as bad as filling them with water, apparently.”

Water executives had no comment.
