DISNEY FINALLY BEGINS DRIVING OVER TRESPASSERS

June 13 2010

Lake Buena Vista, FL – When Walt and Roy Disney founded their company in 1923 they had fantasies about becoming a dream factory. Through incredible innovation and imagination, that’s exactly what the two brothers built. Expanding from simply walt and roy disney
shorts to full length motion pictures, theme parks, and cultural weight that few companies have ever achieved, that dream has spread to millions of creative people and fans around the world. Unlike any other studio of that era, Disney was built by and for dreamers, and that ethos survives until this day almost ninety years later.

Of course things have changed dramatically since those times. Now a multi-billion dollar multi-national corporation the company has expanded far beyond anything the brothers could have imagined. Along with that power comes, of course, a great deal of responsibility with shareholders, employees, and fans to make happy. That pressure has sometimes
allowed the company to soar above expectations, but has also forced it into the dark depths of corporate greed. Though the company has been able to rise above its difficulties some of those controversies remain skeletonised in the closet, a black mark on the dream factory. Many of those issues have in fact come from the robust image control procedures the company employs, which occasionally causes more problems than it solves, as is the case with their new trespassing policy which has already resulted in the death of a 9-year old boy.disney castle

“We have an incident where two young children were apparently riding their bicycles in and around the grounds of Disneyworld. It appears that one of the children, a 9-year old boy, swerved onto theme park property and was struck by a bus. He later died in hospital,” said a police spokesperson. “It does appear that the boy had not paid for access to the park and was in violation of the trespassing policy which is very clearly posted throughout that area. While we are currently conducting an investigation into the incident we do not anticipate that charges will be laid.”

Early reports indicate that the boy treaded onto the grounds a number of times and had been warned multiple before the bus struck and killed him.no trespassing sign

“Disney World has been for a long time one of the preeminent vacation destinations for families but there is a high price to be paid for a visit. They have to enforce their rules in order to keep abuses at bay and maintain ticket prices otherwise the whole system will break down. Obviously this boy paid the ultimate price, which is much more than a day pass, but that’s what happens when you break the rules,” said Scrape TV Business analyst Ken Green. “On the surface it may seem harsh but other companies have been doing things like this for years. Anheuser-Busch for example has been using snipers for years and Six Flags just recently updated their parks to include Rottweiler’s so really this change in policy is just keeping up with the market.”

Tickets for Disney World can be bought for as little as $34 USD.car accident deer

“The simple fact of the matter is if Disney didn’t enforce these harsh practices people would be jumping the wall left, right, and centre. It is the prime theme park and easily has the most people trying to get in, either for free or otherwise, and they need to do what they need to do to ensure that their park is safe and profitable,” continued Green. “In this case it means the death of a child but perhaps that will show people how serious they are about keeping freeloaders out of the park. A few more incidents like this and I’m sure they will cut down on these attempts pretty dramatically, though some people will always try.”

Disney reportedly requested the boys head from the family for placement on a pike but they have not yet responded.
