CASIO DENIES SUPPORT FOR AL-QAEDA AND TALIBAN

April 27 2011

Tokyo, Japan – There will likely never come a time when human beings are free from criminals and criminal behaviour. Though many of us, particularly in the western world, are largely free from crime on a daily basis but this is not the result of a bettering of buster keaton jail
the human animal, it is a result of a complex system of rewards and punishment. The more robust a society becomes, the more value we place on the things it provides, and thus we pull away from things which would risk us losing those things. The whole world though doesn’t work quite the same way.

While western nations have benefited from the advances on society, a great deal of the human population has been left behind, leaving those places prone to crime and violence, things that occasionally break out into the wider world. The clearest example of that is terrorism, something born and bred in poorer cultures and which preys on the disenfranchised. Terrorism has of course become a global issue, one perhaps not as dramatic but potentially just as deadly as marauding Mongols or angry Austrians, and one that has brought both sides of the human spectrum into direct conflict with one another. Now it appears that that connection is much more significant than previously believed with at least one major western company, Japanese giant Casio, being eyed as an active participant in al-Qaeda’s terror efforts.

“It became clear to us at an early stage that there were simply common traits to many terrorists. That there are certain keys that made it easy to identify terrorist from ordinary people, and one of the clearest examples of that was their choice of wrist watch,” said a U.S. government insider. “One common thread in particular was the casio f91w
Casio F-91W and A159W models of watches. These are an indicator of al-Qaeda training, and were in fact graduation gifts for those who completed the bomb-making courses in Afghanistan. It became clear to us that the majority of suspects were wearing these watches, making it a clear identifier.”

The majority of the inhabitants in Guantanamo Bay were apparently wearing those watches, watches which were apparently supplied by Casio directly.

“We have no connection and have never had any connection to these forces. Casio is one of the best-selling brands of digital watches around the world and it is very likely that these individuals simply made similar purchases to one another. Casio does not now and never will support terrorism,” said a spokesperson for the company. “We are currently investigating our suppliers and any major bulk purchases in response to these issues and concerns. We are very happy to work with the U.S. government in aiding any way possible. Casio has been one of the leading manufacturers of consumer electronics for over fifty years and we reject fully any association with these individuals and organizations.”

Reportedly, agents from the CIA and NSA have investigated and cleared the company of any direct interaction with terrorist cells.osama bin laden casio watch

“This is a tough thing for a company like Casio. If someone somewhere down the chain decided to work with al-Qaeda, obviously for a profit, it’s not really their fault. A big company like that can’t micromanage every single seller or partner, business just doesn’t work like that. However they are involved whether they like it or not,” said Scrape TV Terrorism analyst Doug Davids. “Aside from being totally classy and the perfect graduation gift, these watches are perfect for bomb making, the timer works perfectly, and that is fully Casio’s fault. They created these devices and they have a responsibility to ensure that they are as safe as possible. This is the cheapest timer on the market, and that makes them the perfect graduation gift.”

Al-Qaeda has reportedly switched to Armitron watches in recent years.
