NEW EVIDENCE INDICATES THAT VIAGRA MAY BE BEHIND LIBYAN MASS RAPE STORIES

June 16 2011

Tripoli, Libya – There will always be war, and there will always be people who profit from it. Many people know of the war profiteering by companies such as IBM and Coca-Cola during the Second World War and, for the most part, accept it as an act of coke nazis
its time and place. The truth is that many people, both with good and ill intent, have profited off conflict and as long as war exists, so too will those people.

Of course there is a major difference between simply supplying goods and services to foreign powers and militaries and actually being active participants in the conflict. For all the flack that American companies may have received for their actions in WWII, there is no evidence that their work actually furthered the conflict. They provided assets which would have been gotten from somewhere else if they didn’t provide it. That, though, is not true of every company. I.G. Farben, the infamous German conglomerate, actively pushed the war forward in order to profit. Now it appears that a new company in a new war may have done the same. The continuing conflict in Libya has been filled with many awful stories, but none as abhorrent as the stories of mass rapes by Viagra-fuelled soldiers. Now though new evidence has appeared suggesting that such acts did not occur, and that the company behind Viagra may have made the whole thing up to sell their product.

“There have been incidents of rape in Libya, that is certain, but these stories of bulk purchases of Viagra have simply not panned out. Many of these stories were third viagra
hand tales, told by doctors who supposedly treated rape victims but no one has been able to verify them,” said an insider. “No one thinks that such acts would be beneath Gaddafi and his government, but there is also no evidence to suggest that it did happen. Part of this may have been war propaganda, but you always need to look at who benefits the most.”

Investigations by the UN human rights council have turned up no evidence of mass rapes, Viagra fuelled or not.

“It could simply be mass hysteria that caused these things, but then why was a brand name drug involved? That would suggest that someone was whispering in someone’s ear and that these tales of drug-fuelled rapes are simply fictional, or a part of some massive advertising campaign,” continued the insider. “Any press is good press, yes? These stories have gotten Viagra on the front pages of newspapers all around the world, something which cannot be said for its competitors. The first rule of advertising is to make things memorable. People forget the context, they simply remember the name. Now millions more people have heard the name Viagra and when they pursue treatment, this is the thing they will think of.”

Other major treatments for erectile dysfunction are Cialis and Levitra, neither of which have been mentioned in association with the rapes. moammar gaddafi

“Add to that the operations which Pfizer has in this country and you have a very potent case. I doubt very much that the company spurred the conflict in the first place, but it is becoming ever more clear that once they saw it happening they decided to step in and make the best of it,” continued the insider. “Unfortunately I doubt very much that they will pay for this. I’d imagine in fact that this is going to make a lot of people very wealthy. I’m also sure that the next time something like this happens the competitors are going to be there on the ground handing out tablets to everyone they can. You really can’t buy marketing like this.”

Pfizer, the company which produces Viagra, had no comment.
