ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER AND MARIA SHRIVER SPLIT AFTER HE LOSES HIS JOB

Los Angeles, CA – Marriage is never a perfect thing, even for the perfect couple. Age changes people and thus it often changes the way they interact with their loved ones, even the ones they love the most. While marriage certainly serves a practical purpose,
bringing a breeding couple together long enough to have and raise children, it has become much more than that in human culture. Marriage is a social intuition, a financial arrangement, and bulwark against loneliness, but even all those factors combined do not guarantee success.
It’s likely that we will never know the true reasons why Hollywood power couple Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver decided to separate but, as it is with ordinary people, sometimes perfect on the outside doesn’t mean perfect on the inside. While both partners in that odd fusion of Hollywood and Washington are likely to blame for the split, as is usually the case in most broken marriages, theirs was a relationship that seemed to defy the odds, bringing as it did two polar opposites with apparently a great deal of success. Now though the marriage has apparently ended, likely for good, as the former governor struggles to find work in life outside of Sacramento.
“This has been a time of great personal and professional transition for each of us. After a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion, and prayer, we came to this decision together,” the couple said in a statement. “At this time, we are living apart, 
while we work on the future of our relationship. We are continuing to parent our four children together. They are the light and the center of both of our lives.”
The couple married in 1986. Reportedly, they had been contemplating a split for as long as two years, but it was Schwarzenegger’s recent departure from his job as Governor of California that apparently prompted the final decision.
“They have been having a lot of problems for the last few years. Arnold is very emotionally controlling and he is prone to womanizing and that makes things very tough on her. She eventually just got to the point where she couldn’t deal with it anymore on a daily basis. It’s been especially tough in the last few months with him spending a lot of time at home after leaving his last job,” said an insider close to couple. “He’s home all the time and he’s been taking all this time trying to find work. He got something finally, this movie thing that he’s doing, but it’s not steady work. They lived for a lot of years with this contract gig, going from paycheque to paycheque, and that isn’t what she wants anymore. Aside from the time he spends at home, she feels very uncomfortable with the financial situation. This was really the best decision for both of them.”
Schwarzenegger recently signed on to a new movie, ‘Cry Macho’, which will be released next year.
“I can’t comment on the specifics of the situation because I don’t know them, but it is not unusual that splits occur when people leave a long-held job. Part of that is the stress related to the loss of income, but part of it is also the change in the person who has left the job, whether the leaving caused that change or vice-versa. It is actually one of the more common reasons for splits,” said Scrape TV Family Values analyst Marge Hendricks. “It’s unfortunate for everyone involved, but this is not really anything unique. Marriage is a tough thing to make work over the long haul. Frankly, it’s probably better they split then stay in an unhappy situation. Maybe if he gets a regular job again things could change.”
Schwarzenegger is apparently trying to woo Shriver back, even going so far as to apply at the local In and Out burger, though few expect him to get that gig.
