BONO TURNS HUMANITARIAN EFFORTS TOWARDS SCHWARZENEGGER-SHRIVER SPLIT

Los Angeles, CA – There are celebrities who do little with their fame except bask in it. Some of those people are perfectly nice, not the type of self-indulgent clichés that people expect, they simply don’t have a wider vision of the world. Generally speaking
though, the types of people who are able to sustain success over a long period of time are the kind of thoughtful and compassionate people who are also apt to donate their time and money to the greater world, to give back to the world which has given them so much.
There is perhaps no better of example of that latter type of celebrity than Bono. His success has been well documented and unparalleled. With millions of records sold and tours that generate the GDP’s of some small countries, Bono has become a celebrity beyond even the rational realm. While he could use that wealth and fame to simply indulge himself, Bono has instead used it as a platform for social change around the world, becoming one of the most prominent philanthropist and activists on the planet. His efforts, which have included issues like debt forgiveness and HIV awareness, have earned him both respect and criticism the world over, but have also helped changed the lives of many people. In keeping with those efforts, Bono has now turned his attention to a dire situation in his own realm, hoping to forge a peaceful resolution to the split between Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver.
“Bono is very concerned about this whole thing. He has been watching the situation intently since it broke and trying to pick up every thread he can. This whole thing has hit him really hard and he wants to do whatever he can to affect a peaceful 
resolution,” said am insider. “He wants to find the solution which will make them both happy, the one which will bring the most peace to the world. If that means a divorce then that’s what it means, but however it happens, he wants peace in our time and he is really intent on making that happen.”
Bono was recently spotted in Los Angeles taking lunch with Shriver at The Ivy, a known paparazzi hotspot.
“He does want them to come together and to try and make peace but he is a man of the world and a realist and he understands that not everything can work out the way you want it to, that sometimes you just have to find the best solution to the problem at hand,” continued the insider. “He doesn’t get involved in ever marriage dispute obviously, though if he could he would, but he feels that this one in particular is something special, that this couple represents something more to the world and that they have to set an example for it, both in success and in failure. If he can help that along he wants to play a role.”
It’s believed that he will meet with Schwarzenegger sometime next week, likely in private.
“There are a lot of people who criticize Bono for his work, saying that he is doing it more for himself than for others, and that may be very true but the reality is that it does help other people. In some areas he may go too far and actually hurt the cause, but he does help more often than not and, maybe most importantly, provides an example for others,” said Scrape TV International analyst Gustav Hander. “On the surface this situation may seem a little odd, but Bono is married and has had troubles, he even wrote a song about it, so there is a personal attachment there. Marriage is an institution which can change the world and he recognizes that. This may be him trying to salvage the idea of marriage rather than just an individual union. Frankly, if this goes well he could very well be in the running for the Nobel again. It’s a little early for that admittedly, but it’s worth considering.”
Bono will reportedly travel to Africa following his L.A. meetings, apparently to help affect a solution to the ongoing Libyan crisis.
