HARRY POTTER REFUGEE CAMP READY FOR INFLUX OF VISITORS

London, U.K. – It’s finally here. The saga of Harry Potter is finally at an end. The global phenomenon that began nearly fifteen years ago is now in its final days as last movie in the saga hits movie screens. For the millions of Potter fans across the planet 
the release of that film is a sad yet glorious day, a celebration of the end of world which has become a major part of their lives, an end that won’t truly start to sink in until the end credits start to roll.
However, for Potter fans the time of mourning is not quite a reality. For them this is a time of celebration, a time to celebrate the decade and half of entertainment the young wizards have provided them with, and a time to join with their fellow fans one last time. By Monday, though, the euphoria will start to fade, something workers at all of the many Potter refugee camps are all too aware of, something in which they are already knee deep in preparation. Expected to be the nexus of refugees, facilities throughout London have been putting in overtime as the release of the last movie approaches and as migrants from all over the world travel to the city for the final days of Potter mania.
“We are ready, or at least we think we are ready. We have beds ready, we have plenty of food, medical supplies, and counsellors on site. We are as ready as we can be but 
we can’t really anticipate everything. We realize that this event is not like any other one we have dealt with before. This is going to be big,” said Mary Hawkes-Northington of one local chapter. “Even going out to look at the lines we realized that this could very well be much bigger than anything we have anticipated. We are very concerned that our facilities could be overwhelmed if things get too crazy.”
The city has seen travellers from multiple countries including Canada, Germany, and the United States for the premiere of the film.
“We have, we believe, very sophisticated facilities for all these visitors. In the past we used a stable-type system but this time around we are using an open concept. We have housing inside and we have tent facilities outside, providing for overflow. Anything could happen, but we feel we are ready for any circumstance,” continued Hawkes-Northington. “The biggest challenge will be language. There are travellers from virtually every country and while we do have interpreters on site, we simply cannot account for all potential languages. Our biggest concern is of course the Americans who tend to consume a lot of food and talk quite a bit but we feel that we have enough frozen hamburger patties and crisps on site which should appease even them. Other than that the Belgians are a major concern, but it does not appear that many of those have descended on the city.”
City regulators have expressed concerns that the camps could encourage non-Potter fans to travel to the country, citing a massive influx of Somali visitors during the release of the previous film in November.
“We are certainly watching the goings-ons very carefully so that we can monitor any abuses of the system. The money for these facilities has been allocated in a very specific way and we want to ensure that it is getting to the people who need it the most rather than people who are simply planning on using these proceedings for their own benefit,” said one city official. “We will be doing an audit and police will be on-call 24-7 for any potential infractions. We take this situation very seriously and we want to make sure that things go as smoothly as possible.”
It’s expected that many of the facilities will remain open for a number of years as refugees transition into normal life.
