JOE JONAS TO SHOCK FANS BY RELEASING UPCOMING ALBUM

Los Angeles, CA – Celebrities come and go. Some go way before their time and some just never seem to go away for no apparent reason. Talented celebrities fall totally under the radar, and people with absolutely no talent stay popular for the long
time, and vice-versa. There is no pattern to celebrity, there is no logic or reason to the ebbs and flows of the process. People rise and fall for totally sensible reasons, or no reason at all. That process has played out over and over again for decades.
That same process will play out with the current crop of celebrities. Inevitably, some will retain popularity for a long time and others will end up selling suits. After they fade away, new celebrities will come to the limelight and the process will repeat itself over and over again. Much like the life and death of a forest, celebrities thrive and fail and lay the groundwork for a new generation. Because of that irrational system it’s nearly impossible to predict who will rise and who will fall, but the speculation is always a fun game. For years many people have simply assumed that the Jonas brothers would be on the failing end of the celebrity cycle, fading into obscurity as quickly as they flew into the spotlight. However, one member of that family, Joe, has shocked everyone by announcing the release of a new album and possible fans who might want to buy it.
“I kind of like to shock people sometimes, because I feel like - I feel they have expectations of what I'm supposed to sound like. I figure, just pop music. Just very standard pop music,” Jonas told LimeLife. “I'm going from Disney to a more mature record, and having that experience, I think a lot of people might think, 'OK, this record might be a little bit bubble-gum pop.”
Jonas’ new album will be out sometime.
“When you first saw that new crop of Disney stars it was clear where things were going to go. You could see Miley Cyrus becoming huge, Selena Gomez hitting the middle, and the rest just kind of falling away. The Jonas brothers were definitely on the back end of that, people who would just fall away and eventually end up playing Vegas but it appears that they, or at least Joe is trying to make a go of it. That’s admirable if a little foolhardy,” said Scrape TV Music analyst Dylan Chambers. “It is possible that he will be able to have some success but the people who made the Jonas Brothers such a success a few years ago are now twelve-years old and starting to become interested in boys their own age. That is going to make any kind of success hard to come by for those guys. I mean it’s possible they will change things, but it’s very unlikely.”
The album will be Jonas’ first solo effort. The last album released as a band was in 2009.
“In an era when people don’t really buy albums even from people they like it’s going to be very hard to mount a solo career. He does have a recognizable name, but gone are the days when people would simply walk into a music store and buy an album on a whim which is how a lot of these solo careers get started,” continued Chambers. “Music as a whole has started to diminish and the kind of momentum that engages the music buying public is just kind of gone. The excitement is gone and so it’s harder for artists to get things going. That is going to be the challenge for Jonas, well that and having all his fans starting junior high. That’s a big thing for young people, way bigger than music.”
Jonas has started to promote the album at local supermarkets.
