JUSTIN BIEBER EXPERIENCES FALLOUT IN PLANS FOR JAPANESE CONCERT
May 7 2011
Tokyo, Japan – As much as his fans would like to believe it, Justin Bieber is not unique. He is the product of a marketing machine which has for decades been churning out organized and manufactured pop icons, something it will continue to do
for many years to come. The process is tried and true and while there are certainly missteps on occasion, the sheer number of young singers seeking pop fame ensures that there will be no shortage of efforts in the future.
Intrinsic to that mechanism which brings so much success is the inevitable slide that hits every single one of those pop sensations. As is being experienced by the stars of a previous generation right now, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, the very thing that makes a pop singer successful is the thing that dooms them to a short career. That, inevitably, will happen to Justin Bieber and with an extended tour of bowling alleys and casinos closer than he might believe, it makes sense that he is trying to get every single dime he can while he’s able. That in part likely explains his insistence on touring the quake and radiation ravaged nation of Japan, something for which he has started to receive a great deal of fallout from his touring crew.
“I do not want to go. I watched all that stuff on TV and I can tell you that there ain’t enough money in the world that would make me go near that radiation. I got a wife and someday we’d like to have kids and so the last thing I need is to be going to this
place with all this radioactive stuff,” said one crew member who preferred not to be named. “I’m behind this show and behind Justin, but I got to worry about my safety and the safety of my family. What if I go there and get radiated and then I bring that back to my wife. No way man, no way.”
Bieber had been scheduled to play shows in Osaka and Tokyo, far from the quake zone in the north.
“There is very little chance of being irradiated playing for a few days in these cities, but one can certainly understand the skittishness of some people. After all radiation is a scary thing and most people simply don’t want to be blasted with gamma rays, not even for a paycheque or even to continue the spread of Bieber Fever, but the risk is actually really low,” said Scrape TV Science analyst Dr. Howard Poe. “I mean if you eat things like fish and spinach there may be some concern, but just being in the country is really not going to pose a problem. There isn’t some massive radioactive cloud hovering over the country waiting to pound anyone who crosses the border, unlike Bieber fans who are particularly rabid in Japan.”
Bieber reportedly has spinach and seaweed, two of the most affected foods, as a standard on his tour rider.
“I think they will probably be safe as long as they don’t take too many risks. Like everything else you just have to be careful and cautious. I could certainly understand the concern if they were going to play a benefit concert outside the nuke plant, but that doesn’t appear to be the case,” continued Poe. “Of course if the people of the country, or even more importantly the lizards of the country, have been irradiated that could cause concern about other kinds of risks. Those are a little irrational of course, but the human brain works in funny ways, especially those under the influence of Bieber Fever, or radiation poisoning.”
Bieber, it is believed, has never seen a Godzilla movie and insists on touring the country.
