LADY GAGA REFUSING TO ADMIT SHE STOLE FROM JAPANESE HURRICANE RELIEF FUND

June 30 2011

Los Angeles, CA – There were cynics who believed that the people of Japan did not need and should not be given aid in the wake of the massive earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear disaster that struck the country earlier this year. After all, the argument japan tsunami
went, Japan is one the wealthiest countries in the world and should be able to recover by themselves. Of course most people aren’t that cynical and as evidenced by the massive outpouring of aid from other countries and individual citizens, people are usually willing to help others in their times of need.

We have seen that charity over and over again, but it was perhaps in Japan that it was most potent. After all, Japan is one of the wealthiest countries in the world. It’s easy to feel sympathy for a nation like Haiti which has little or no ability to recover from disaster, but when it comes to a country which can stand on its own two feet, the outpouring of generosity showed genuine human compassion. Of course, there were also bad people involved in that recovery effort, just as there was in Haiti, who had little desire to help the people of Japan but instead used it as a way to profit. Now as things start to shake out, those tragedy profiteers are starting to be exposed and at least one, pop star Lady Gaga, has no regrets.

“This misguided lawsuit is without merit and unfortunately takes attention away from lady gaga
the kind deeds of the fans around the world who are supporting the people of Japan,” said a representative for the singer. “The entire $5 donation made with the purchase of each bracelet is going to support the disaster relief. No profit is being made on shipping costs. Sales tax charges were made in accordance with local legal requirements. Lady Gaga has personally pledged her own funds to this cause and continues to support the victims of the disaster.”

Gaga had been accused of skimming money from charity wristbands which were sold to support the recovery effort. Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, recently declared bankruptcy as a result of her exorbitant stage show.

“This statement doesn’t change the facts. Little or no money from the wristband sales went to the people of Japan. It is clear that this tragedy was used as a marketing gimmick for a cheap piece of plastic, the proceeds of which went directly into Lady Gaga’s pockets. Millions of people donated money on the assumption that it would help those in need and the only person it helped was Ms. Gaga,” said a lawyer involved in the suit. “Add to that the ludicrous shipping charges which were inflated to increase the profit margins. It wasn’t enough that the entire five dollar donation was going to profit the Gaga machine but they actually had the gall to charge extra shipping in order to make even more money. This lawsuit is designed to rectify this awful situation,”lady gaga dress

It’s not clear how much the law firm, 1800LAWFIRM, is suing for but it is expected that the majority of the proceeds will go towards legal costs and a killer party, provided they are successful.

“There is very little legal precedence for this type of thing and I imagine that it will result in little or no money changing hands. The law firm would have to prove itself as being the injured party, or as representing the injured party, but because this has a vague injury it is very difficult to mount a legal argument,” said Scrape TV Legal analyst Gabe Hawthorne. “I think, ultimately, that this suit will go nowhere. The law firm will walk away with a lot of print and Gaga will walk away with a lot of charity money and everyone will be happy. Well, maybe not the earthquake victims but they still have bigger things to worry about.”

Gaga did apparently send a number of wristbands to Japan free of charge.
