TOBEY MAGUIRE STILL TRYING TO RUIN BEN AFFLECK’S LIFE IN SECRET POKER GAMES

Los Angeles, CA – For most people the idea of celebrities indulging in secret clubs where they do things only marginally legal is really not all that shocking. After all, Hollywood has a long history of such things, of secrets and scandals, some exposed 
and some which have rested with history. In many ways those types of things are exactly what we expect from Hollywood stars, for them to live the lives, both in public and private, which we can never live ourselves.
When the massive celebrity poker ring was exposed last month many Hollywood observers were shocked, shocked not only by the actual event but also shocked by their own reactions. Those games, which included heavy-hitters such as Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Tobey Maguire, and Leonardo DiCaprio, saw millions of dollars change hands between millionaires, in their own homes, playing cards. The scandal was really not much of scandal at all, but yet it drew a great deal of water. It isn’t, perhaps, the games themselves which are the really interesting stories but rather the details of who won and who lost that is really compelling. According to insiders it is Maguire, the star of the ‘Spider-Man’ movies who was the real shark while Ben Affleck became the shlump who lost nearly everything. Now new evidence has appeared suggesting that Maguire is apparently trying to bring Ben back to the table in order to finally finish what he started and push Affleck out of Hollywood for good.
“Tobey is a bit of a star but he has never gotten nearly the attention of his peers. He’s been around a lot longer than most of them, been in much bigger movies, but when people think of celebrities they certainly don’t think of him,” said one insider. “He really doesn’t like it and it’s been a big thing for him to get some of what he feels he is owed back from these other guys. It’s a little silly but that’s how he rolls.”
Estimates put Maguire’s winnings at upwards of $40 million over the course of a few years. Affleck reportedly fell into deep debt.
“Maguire is actually a pretty big player in Hollywood. Most people don’t realize that his father-in-law is Ron Meyer who runs Universal. Aside from his poker prowess he can do a lot of damage if he decides to put his foot down. Apparently Affleck fell deep into debt to Meyer a few years back but was able to pay it back, much to Tobey’s dismay,” continued the insider. “He felt he had him that time. He felt that this was it, that he had finally pushed one of them out the door but he was able to make his payments and has now become really successful and happy again. That really irks Maguire and that has caused him to start harassing Affleck into playing again, to finally finish the job.”
The poker ring apparently broke up a number of years ago.
“Tobey wants Affleck ruined. He wants his career in the toilet, he wants him to break up with his wife. He wants it all. He feels that if he can get him around the table again he can do that, that he can finally make it happen. He smells blood in the water,” continued the insider. “After that, who knows. He’s certainly going to try and hook up with Jennifer Garner because that would just be a total insult. Then he will go after Affleck’s family and friends. He wants the humiliation complete. He even wants to embarrass his pets. Tobey’s lust for revenge has no limits. It’s a bad situation.”
Maguire has reportedly been stalking Sam Raimi, the directorof the ‘Spider-Man’ films, who he blames for ending that franchise.
