BRAD PITT’S LATEST MOVIE POLLING BADLY WITH JENNIFER ANISTON’S FAMILY, FAN

Los Angeles, CA – No matter what people say, they always have something bad to say about their exes. After all, they aren’t exes for no reason. Most of the time, though, people stay quiet except with a few close friends. Sometimes though, especially for people in the public eye, the temptation to speak out proves too much and things get loose.
That is exactly what happened with Brad Pitt during an interview with Parade magazine last week. His candid comments about his ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston, created an uproar and even prompted an apology from the Pitt himself. Unfortunately for the actor, whose new movie ‘Moneyball’ releases today, the apology was not enough for some people and it may well have hurt his film. Recent polling of Jennifer Aniston’s close family members, friends, and her fan have indicated that they will likely not go and see the new movie.
“I spent the ’90s trying to hide out, trying to duck the full celebrity cacophony. I started to get sick of myself sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out. It started feeling pathetic,” Pitt told the magazine. “It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn’t living an interesting life myself. I think that my marriage had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn’t.”
Pitt did later issue the apology, apparently at the behest of Aniston, but it appears that the damage may be done to the movie.
“It isn’t good news, that’s for sure. Brad Pitt is a little past his heartthrob days for younger women, younger women who grew up watching ‘Friends’, and the subject matter of this movie doesn’t really compel them. I mean most of them will still go, but the ones within direct reach of Aniston herself will likely stay away at least during opening weekend,” said Scrape TV Entertainment analyst Tracey Temple. “Luckily that still leaves a wide audience out there for the movie. That will mean a good take at the box office, probably number one, but of course number last with the Aniston clan.”
Aniston’s father, John, is apparently a big baseball fan and had been looking forward to seeing the movie even if it did star his ex-son-in-law. He will apparently be staying away from the theatre, which he usually does because of the advancing age of his bladder.
“The big picture is still good for the movie. Not everyone in the American viewing public is related to Aniston in some way, and Pitt is still a pretty big name globally so that should help make up for the lost ticket sales. Greek receipts might take a hit, but it’s not like they have any money to see movies anyway,” continued Temple. “I’m sure after a time the comments will be forgiven. I mean Aniston doesn’t seem like the type of person to let things go, but most people just forget they are angry with people eventually. That will be especially true if the movie does really well at the box office and through awards season. Then it’s just a must see. I’d bet then even her fan would give it a shot.”
Aniston’s fan could not be reached for comment.
