BRITNEY SPEARS GETS ENGAGED TO FUTURE EX-HUSBAND

Los Angeles, CA – When she first appeared on the scene Britney Spears appeared to be it. She was a little too sexy for some parents, just right for young girls, but underneath the persona seemed to be a genuine and simple girl. She was pleasant and simple and made a lot of people happy. Her very clearly stated morality was also a major part of that package. People wanted what Britney appeared to be.
She wasn’t that, as it turned out. Not even close really. She didn’t even come close to staying a virgin until marriage, of which she has had a few already. She boozed it up, went a lot crazy, and nearly threw away her career. If there could have been a polar opposite of the Britney Spears that people had been expecting, it turned out it would have been Britney Spears.
In recent years, Spears has turned things around. Her career, while not nearly at the heights it once was, is stable and her personal life appears to have become a lot simpler. No more drinking and drugs, no more late night head shavings, no more craziness. And now Spears appears ready to try that one other thing again, getting engaged to long-time boyfriend Jason Trawick.
“OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I've been waiting for. Can't wait to show you! SO SO SO excited!!!! Xxo,” the singer wrote on her Facebook page. Trawick apparently proposed to her on Thursday.
The couple will be headed to Las Vegas for a celebration tonight. Supposedly, it will involve a lot of chocolate because Spears, to no one’s surprise, loves chocolate.
The marriage will be Spears’ third. Trawick, well no one really knows much about him or cares. It’s not clear if he will remarry after his inevitable divorce from Spears.
“This is great for Spears. She seems much more stable under Trawick, I mean with Trawick, than she has in the past. I mean he, as her kind of custodian, has been able to manage her quite effectively and put her back on this career resurgence she has been having of late. It’s been good to watch because you just know something wacky is coming,” said Scrape TV Entertainment analyst Tracey Temple. “It’s like that that little quiet guy in the Kung Fu movie. You know he’s like super skilled but he just stands around waiting and then when it comes, bam! Things get awesome. Spears has been really stable for a few years now so you just know something is coming.”
The pair have not yet planned a divorce, but Spears does have a penchant for not really thinking about anything before she does it, especially eating. 
“Spears has been a train wreck for so long that it makes this period really interesting. It’s almost like a quiet before the storm, where you see the clouds rolling, maybe blowing away, but you can smell it in the air. I’m sure they will be happy for a little while and in the end that’s all any of us can ask for,” continued Temple. “Hopefully when it does come it’s on the level of everything else she has done in the past. I know she’s getting older but that doesn’t mean that she can’t dazzle us once again with the old Britney magic. There’s a reason people love her and I hope she hasn’t lost that.”
The couple will apparently utilize a prenuptial agreement, which Trawick will negotiate himself.
