CHRISTINA AGUILERA QUICKLY BECOMING TOO BIG FOR ‘THE VOICE’ OR ANY TELEVISION SCREEN

Los Angeles, CA – It was pretty clear to just about everyone that of all the people who appeared on the teen pop scene in the late 1990’s there was one with talent above all others, one that because of sheer vocal ability outshined her peers and held the promise of being a real artist.
That person was Christina Aguilera who almost effortlessly stood head and shoulders above people like Britney Spears and ‘N Sync, proving herself with vocal gymnastics well beyond her years. That early promise, though, pretty much led nowhere. Spears became a much bigger star, Justin Timberlake parlayed his musical career into other areas, and Aguilera was largely left behind, choosing to raise a family and falling out of the scene almost entirely. Eventually she attempted a comeback but it was too little too late, the world had moved on without her.
That is until she decided to join a talent show, the hit series ‘The Voice’ which, while not restoring her as a grand dame of pop, has certainly been kind to her pocketbook and made her famous once again. Unfortunately, much like before, it appears that that fame may be going to her head as she starts to exhibit diva behaviour again, thinking herself far too big for television, something with which camera operators are also starting to find.
“Christina has turned into a bullying diva. In interviews, she likes to say that she’s at peace with her new curves, but that’s not how she really feels,” a ‘Voice’ insider told the National Enquirer. “Christina holds up production with her constant demands, saying, ‘Don’t make me look fat’ or ‘Don’t show my butt,’. She’s insisted the cameramen only shoot her at flattering angles, forcing a few segments to be reshot. She also demands that the stylists bring her the latest slimming fashions, and she’s always ordering the makeup artists to make her face look thinner.”
It’s not clear how successful those efforts have been considering how immense Aguilera has looked recently.
It’s also not clear if current camera technology is even capable of shooting around her size or, if the growth continues, to even keep all of her on frame at one time.
“Some of the production people are really getting concerned that eventually they will only be able to show segments of Christina at once. I mean they will be able to do wide shots but they will be really far back and you lose resolution the further back you go, even in high def,” another insider told Scrape TV. “Every day she comes in looking a little bit bigger, like she is literally putting on pounds overnight, which is really frustrating the camera people and the producers. I mean they’ve already gone through the extra expense of reinforcing the stage where she sits and now they having to look at new cameras just to accommodate her. Obviously there has to be a breaking point and Christina keeps pushing things to that limit. At some point things will snap and my guess is it will be Christina who is sliding out of the studio, not the producers.”
It’s believed that Aguilera’s extreme weight gain is a result of her eating a whole lot of food and other things that grab her fancy, like couch cushions and silverware.
