GLENN BECK AND LOUIS FARRAKHAN EXCHANGE HEATED WORDS JUST LIKE IF SOMEONE WAS LISTENING
March 11 2012
New York, NY – Opinions are like stomachs, everyone has one. Most of the time those opinions are just that, opinions which are usually exchanged over slightly drunken family dinners. Usually those opinions are not particularly well-informed or even significantly thought out, but people have the right to them and they exercise that right.
On rare occasions, those opinions can become a commodity upon which a career can be based. The right combination of personality and business acumen can result in someone making their opinions, again thoughtful or not, into a commodity which they can sell and in so doing become both wealthy and famous.
Glenn Beck is one of those people and so is Louis Farrakhan and now that duo is engaged in a heated exchange with one another. The incident began when Beck asserted that Farrakhan should be investigated for his comments about Barack Obama, to which Farrakhan and his Nation of Islam responded just like people were really paying attention and cared about what either side was saying, like they were both back their primes when they were demanding huge audiences of dedicated listeners who hinged on their every word.
“I’m telling you this is a clear and present danger to the president of the United States. Will someone in the Secret Service or DOJ investigate what is happening at the Nation of Islam?” Beck recently said on his radio show, to which the Nation of Islam responded in part;
“Mr. Beck is a minion of the Synagogue of Satan and as such represents the thinking of those used as their low-level pawns. Mr. Beck maliciously attacked not only the good name, reputation, integrity, and character of Minister Farrakhan, but also the over half century of redemptive work he has accomplished.”
It’s not clear if either side can benefit from attacking the other and if so, why.
Beck has not yet responded to the latest comments and it’s not clear if anyone will be listening or if they do, if they will really care at all.
“There is certainly a audience for these two men but they are pretty much already there, they already have their group of followers in place and moving beyond that is going to be tough, especially if they are trying to go for each other’s limited audiences,” said Scrape TV Media analyst Sarah Piper. “For notice, it is certainly going to benefit Farrakhan the most because no one has paid any attention to him in the last twenty years or so, but the net gain for both sides will be limited to be sure.”
It’s believed that most of Beck’s listeners already hated Farrakhan, or at least do now.
“Really it’s an interesting study in the generational divide, one person whose time is
long gone and another who is on the path towards that eventuality and both of whom probably don’t really matter in the wider picture, unless of course Obama is assassinated, then I think both sides would get lots of attention, though not the kind they normally like,” continued Piper. “One day this argument will fade away and that will be that because that’s what happens with arguments between people unless they see each other every Thanksgiving. I doubt these two will be sitting down to turkey anytime soon.”
When asked about the debate, the majority of those polled were shocked both Beck and Farrakhan were still alive.
