JENNIFER ANISTON HOLDS HER OWN AGAINST DIRECTING LEGENDS SCORSESE, ALLEN

Hollywood, CA – It’s been a long, hard road for Jennifer Aniston over the last decade or so. Divorce, failed movie and failed movie, and a high public profile that leaves much to be desired has left the once uber-popular actress in a tough spot, one that is on occasion just a little embarrassing. While Aniston has never fallen to the darker side of Hollywood, she has also never really regained the swagger she once had, until now.
Like many who had fallen into such a slump in the past, think Clint Eastwood or more recently Ben Affleck, Aniston has turned towards directing as a new creative outlet, and already she is making her mark alongside some of the legend of cinema.
According to the star of her directorial debut, ‘Five’, Aniston is already in the league with some of the legends of the medium including Martin Scorsese and Woody Allen, praise that Aniston is apparently receiving very well, giving her the confidence to move on into a new career path.
“I was just surprised at how formidable she was. I've worked with a little someone called Martin Scorsese, a little someone called Woody Allen. And let me tell you, Jennifer holds her own, baby!” said actress Patricia Clarkson who has also worked with such directing luminaries as Brian De Palma , Lars von Trier, and Joe Johnston, the latter of which directed this year’s smash hit ‘Captain America’.
Equally, Aniston received praise from other director’s at the premiere of the film including Penelope Speeris the mastermind of the ‘Wayne’s World’ franchise.
The project is a collaboration between a number of directors including fellow up and comers Demi Moore and Alicia Keys.
“This is an interesting career move for Aniston and given recent successes it could very well work. I’m thinking in particular of Ben Affleck who was really on his way out of Hollywood, moving towards low rent projects, and has now become a premiere director. Perhaps not on the level of Scorsese and Allen yet, unlike Aniston,” said Scrape TV Entertainment analyst Tracey Temple. “It’s funny, her changing careers this late in life. If she really is this good it’s a shame that she didn’t start earlier. We may have lost out on a lot of good work because of that, but then this what we have and we should be grateful for that at least.”
Aniston has only directed once before, a short film called ‘Room 10’ which she lensed alongside good friend Andrea Buchanan, who has been called the Hitchcock of Lewiston, Texas.
“I think it’s safe to say, though, that we won’t be seeing Brad Pitt in any of her upcoming projects. It might be interesting, I mean if that situation hadn’t happened she might not be here, making her mark in this new realm. Sometimes the worst experiences are the ones that make us the strongest and that may have been the case here,” continued Temple. “Hopefully she moves forward in this realm and doesn’t allow her personal eccentricities get in the way. One day we may remember Aniston alongside names like Coppola, Spielberg, Huston, Kurosawa, and Eisentstein. Someday.”
Aniston is currently considering her next directing project. Steve Guttenberg is apparently at the top of her list for leading man.
