JOHNNY DEPP MAKES GOOD ON LONG-SEETHING HATRED OF THE DISABLED

Los Angeles, CA – For the first decade or so of his career Johnny Depp did just about everything he could to prevent becoming a star. He most certainly liked to perform, but the whole concept of stardom, something that people seemed to want to force on him, seemed to be the last thing he wanted. And then, despite his best efforts, something broke and he became the star he never wanted to be.
In fact, he became probably the biggest movie star in the world. Depp, though, did it in his own inimitable way, becoming a monster celebrity with a very odd, very quirky, very eccentric performances in a movie that really should not have been a hit. In many ways it is exactly the type of stardom Depp should have had, despite not wanting it at all.
Through it all he has remained, superficially at least, the same person. Odd, eccentric, and fiercely loyal to his friends Depp has become the kind of movie star that people can actually associate with, precisely because of his oddness. He has none of the Hollywood gloss of traditional movie stars, none of that disassociation with the regular world. He does, however, have a deep seated dislike for the disabled, something that came into conflict with his celebrity last week when he was seated near one for a concert.
According to a police report, 52-year old Robyn Ecker had been seated, with her husband, next to Depp and his entourage during a an Iggy Pop concert on Thursday. When she got too close to the star, his bodyguards made a strike and took her
down, causing severe enough injuries to put her in the hospital, something which apparently gave Depp a great deal of satisfaction.
“We investigate all cases of assault with the same level of diligence regardless of the individuals involved. We received a report of an incident and we will be investigating it in great detail,” said a spokesperson for the LAPD. “We have been made aware of the severity of the injury to the complainant but we will be investigating all details of situation in order to assess whether or not charges need to be laid.”
According to sources, Ecker was quite intoxicated and quite disabled at the time of the report.
It’s not clear what type of disability Ecker possesses but it was apparently obvious enough to Depp to have him order his people to keep her away. 
“Depp has made it clear, very clear, that he just does not feel comfortable around the disabled. He has it in all his contracts that disabled people on set are to keep away
from
him. To not speak to him, look at him, or touch him. Especially that latter one, Depp has this fear that it can be transmitted,” said Scrape TV Entertainment analyst Tracey Temple. “I’m sure he would have been fine with this woman if she had just maintained her distance but she likely got too close and his people were forced to act. I’m sure nothing will come of it, she was drunk and she got too close. Depp may not like disabled people but her certainly doesn’t go after them. If they come at him, sure, but that does not appear to be what has happened here. It does act as a warning though. Hopefully no one else will be hurt by this.”
Depp is reportedly also uncomfortable with people over 50-years old, though manages that a little better.
