SEAN PENN MAY MOVE ONTO FREEING KATIE HOLMES AFTER FREEING IRANIAN HOSTAGES

Los Angeles, CA – There has been a lot of criticism of Sean Penn and his humanitarian efforts in the past, but few would argue that he hasn’t gotten results. Much of that critique revolves around his initial foray into helping people, paddling a canoe down the flooded streets of New Orleans, and has continued to this day. Rushing to Cuba was criticized and now his effort to release the American hikers in Iran is receiving a drubbing. There is no debating his results though.
Penn was on the ground in Cuba, lifting sand bags and digging ditches. His efforts brought attention and money to the cause and helped. Now, after working to free the two hikers who imprisoned in Iran, Penn has started to receive even more criticism despite the obvious success of his work.
Penn, though, isn’t done but has now apparently shifted his attention. Now the actor has apparently turned towards a cause that even political opponents can get behind, freeing actress Katie Holmes.
“Sean has been very disturbed by the whole things since the beginning. He knows Tom from way back, like way back. They were in ‘Taps’ together thirty years ago. He knows Tom, or at least he kind of knows Tom. He has watched his personality change over the years and while he doesn’t agree with Scientology, he kind of just let it go, after all he wasn’t hurting anyone else,” said an insider. “However he has seen Katie Holmes out and about over the last few years, on occasion, and he finds that a little 
disturbing. She doesn’t look all that great most of the time and she always has a minder following her. He has decided to do something about that.”
Holmes has been married to Tom Cruise since 2006. It’s not clear why Penn has taken up the cause but it’s believed he may want to sleep with her.
“Sean is a big believer in making people free. He freed people from flood waters in New Orleans, he freed people from rubble in Haiti, and now he has freed people from Iranian prisons. He feels it is his duty to liberate and that is exactly what he wants to do here,” continued the insider. “He’s a single guy and if he gets lucky in the process of saving people, well he gets lucky but that’s not why he’s doing it. I mean he had fun in New Orleans and in Haiti but that was just luck. He’s had promises made regarding the Iranian situation but he’s not holding his breath. That’s not why he wants to free Holmes, though if he gets the opportunity, well he won’t turn it down let’s say.”
Penn has apparently already bedded a number of Scientologists unrelated to his current efforts.
“Sean Penn has done more in the public realm than most people can ever dream of. A
lot of celebrities will talk up causes, even solicit donations, but Penn has rolled up his sleeves, literally, and helped people. I don’t know if that will work this time around but if determination and earnestness means anything he will succeed here as well,” said Scrape TV Entertainment analyst Tracey Temple. “Hopefully though he does what is right for everyone, that he isn’t just trying to free Katie Holmes for his own reasons, whether that involves nookie or just some grand vision he has of himself. Hopefully he’s doing it for the right reasons because anything else could end badly.”
It’s not clear if Holmes would sleep with Penn even after she is freed from Cruise.
