TOM CRUISE NOW PAYING FANS TO GET EXCITED ABOUT HIS MOVIES

Los Angeles, CA – There was a time when Tom Cruise was the biggest movie star on planet Earth. More than that, in many ways Cruise helped to redefine movie stardom for an entire generation, not only of stars but of fans. Never before had a star had the kind of global profile that Cruise enjoyed at his peak and the inroads he made helped make modern celebrity what it is.
For the man himself though that high profile has been relatively elusive in recent years. Partially a result of his erratic behaviour in public, his age, and the prominence of new generations of celebrities with their own fans who care little about Cruise, largely for the former reasons, his global profile has dipped, though few could have realized how far down it had gone.
During a trip to India to promote his latest movie, that latest installment of the Mission: Impossible franchise, Cruise was mobbed by hundreds of people upon entering the airport. Unfortunately none of those people were there for Cruise, they were there for the money which they were given to pretend they knew who the star was, something that is apparently becoming very common for Cruise wherever he goes.
“I don’t know who he is or what he does. We were told to come here by 1pm today and wait for a foreign VIP to come out of the airport gate and scream and shout when he came,” said one of the people hired for the crowd. “None of us know who Tom is. There was a buffet lunch also for us and we were paid Rs 150 for this job today. We do this for TV shows and other such events where crowds are required.” 
Cruise has long been a star in India, which arguably has the world’s largest film industry, but the people present at the event were not amongst his fans.
Representatives for Cruise would not comment on the record, but an insider has indicated that such things are common when it comes to the star.
“Look, Tom has been a star longer than he hasn’t been and he has become used to this lifestyle. Anything else would be really confusing for him and so we do our best to make him feel comfortable. If he walked off the plane to just normal sounds, people talking and rolling their suitcases around, he would get confused and that can be problematic,” said the insider. “Remember, Tom can’t take medication. There are certain things that we need to do to ensure that he remains level headed and this is a cheap way to make him feel comfortable with his surroundings.”
Cruise has in the past railed against medication and psychiatry owing to his adherence to Scientology.
“We make sure he has a new pair of socks every day, that his personal toothbrush assistant is always on hand, and that he has a shot of tequila in his underwear every day. These are the things that make him comfortable, just like running through a crowd of paparazzi and excited fans,” continued the insider. “We genuinely tried to round up fans that we didn’t have to pay, who remembered him from his past movies, but most of them are either dead or poor now and it was next to impossible to find them. You could say it was Mission: Impossible, but like Tom always does, we found a solution and made everything work in the end.”
The latest installment of the franchise co-stars Indian star Anil Kapoor who didn’t have to pay a single fan.
