TWITTER SCANDAL MAY HAVE BEEN FINAL STRAW IN MOORE - KUTCHER MARRIAGE

Los Angeles, CA – For months now Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher have been in will they / won’t they situation over their marriage. Amidst rumours, even hard evidence, of infidelity on Kutcher’s part the marriage appeared very much on the rocks. Publicly though the couple stayed solid, refusing to bow to the rumours and remaining a couple.
No more. On Thursday Moore announced that she was indeed seeking a divorce from the ‘Two and Half Men’ star, finally pulling the plug on the unlikely 6 year marriage. While Moore has not commented publicly as to the reasons for the final decision, a decision that was delayed even as Kutcher cheated on her during their honeymoon, insiders indicate that it was not the infidelity that was the final straw, it was Kutcher’s recent Twitter debacle that finally ended the pairing.
“It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton. As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life,” said Moore in a statement. “This is a trying time for me and my family, and so I would ask for the same compassion and privacy that you would give to anyone going through a similar situation.”
Kutcher also commented on the marital demise via his Twitter account, which is likely what prompted the end of wedded bliss.
Last week Kutcher announced his partial retirement from the social blogging site after commenting on the ongoing Penn State scandal without thinking it through. The couple have been one of the most prominent Twitter pairings in history.
“Demi had gotten used to the cheating and even when he slept with that woman on their anniversary, well that was something she could live with. The Twitter thing, though, that was really too much too bear. She married Ashton for his honesty and sincerity, and his great butt, but with other people working his Twitter account much of that will be lost. Not the butt, but the rest of it,” said an insider. “She doesn’t want a filtered version of Ashton, she wants the real thing and losing that, well losing that she would just rather lose it all.”
It’s not clear how the diminished Twitter activity will affect Kutcher’s butt or if that could possibly prompt reconciliation.
“Demi knows she owes much of her Twitter existence to Ashton and that isn’t something she is going to forget. He has been a big part of her life, very influential, and that is something she will carry with her forever,” continued the insider. “She’ll miss lots of things about him, including his butt, but she feels she has to move on and maybe seek other opportunities. After all, there are plenty of other fish out there in the Twitter sea and feels it’s time she got a good one.”
Moore has not tweeted about the divorce, yet, but that is coming.
