JACKSON FAMILY DEIGNS TO RESPOND TO KANYE WEST REQUEST

Los Angeles, CA – More than a month after the death of Michael Jackson the family of the singer is understandably still in mourning. With police investigations ongoing, a cause of death still to be officially determined, and a mountain of legal issues ahead of
them it’s possible the family will never have a proper chance to mourn their loved one and put him to rest once and for all. Part of what has made that process so difficult has been the constant media barrage which so followed Jackson in his life and is now following the family in his death.

Adding to the families woes is the seemingly never ending attempts of people to capitalizing on the life and death of the ‘King of Pop’ in ways that had never happened while he was alive. With endless tributes and media outlets reporting every single aspect of the singer’s life and the investigation into his death there seems to be no end to people willing to exploit Jackson’s legacy. Celebrities haven’t been immune to this phenomenon either with Paris Hilton and Corey Feldman amongst those harvesting the singer’s life for their own glory. The recent hubbub made as a result of a story published on this site has of course been a result and product of that type of grave robbing.

“As a news organization our responsibility is to report the news as it is not as we
interpret it. Yes Mr. West has come out against these claims and by proxy our story but someone deciding to change their mind does not make things change, especially on the Internet. Things on the web live a very long time,” said Scrape TV Editor-in-Chief Dave Dalkin. “We have nothing but respect for Mr. West but we stand by our story and the hard work our people did in securing it as an exclusive. Kanye West’s actions will not affect our editorial integrity.”

“It really is shame that people try to exploit any celebrities, especially ones that have passed away. These people do provide an incredible service to the rest of humanity
and they make great personal sacrifice in order to entertain us. Michael Jackson obviously suffered great personal trauma and died young. That is the sacrifice he made to humanity,” said Scrape TV Entertainment analyst Tracey Temple. “Of course that doesn’t make them immune to criticism and when a celebrity attempts to change the past it does need to be questioned. Kanye West has decided that he no longer wants to be the King of Pop or has realized how crass his claims might seem and is now backtracking. We on the other hand will do no such backtracking and stand by our work.”

West also claimed that he reached out to the Jackson family in an effort to secure the crown as the King of Pop. Scrape TV News attempted to contact Jackson family representatives concerning the issue but were faced with a terse ‘No Comment’. According to our sources West did speak to members of the Jackson family who denied his request, apparently preferring to have either Usher or Justin Timberlake carry the crown as the new King, which of course is a totally informal position.

“West has undoubtedly found this a quite embarrassing issue. especially if he was indeed rejected and he stated on his blog that he will no longer speak to the press as result of the incident. While it’s unlikely that he stick to that it does give a lot of us some hope that we will no longer be put through these kinds of antics again. His regrets over the incident are perfectly reasonable but some actions simply can’t be undone,” continued Temple. “The integrity of the media requires that people of power cannot manipulate for their own desires and personal gains. That applies to governments, businesses, and celebrities alike and has to be maintained for a free and open society to exist.”

Upon contacting representatives for Kanye West regarding this story his publicist replied with an response written in all caps which made it very difficult to read and hence will not be included in this story.
