FANS AMAZED AS JESSICA LANGE SLOWLY TURNS ASIAN

Hollywood, CA – Tinseltown has long been the land of miracles. Whether it’s building-sized apes, corrupt media tycoons, epic mafia families, giant blue felines, or the parting of the red sea, Hollywood has given life to our dreams, our fantasies, our 
fears, and everything in between. Because of that the creators themselves have always been looked upon with a kind of odd fascination, part lustful, part reverent, much like the kings and queens and Gods of ancient times fascinated those people with their ability to at least pretend to manipulate the world.
Because of that affection and adoration the lives of stars are often more interesting than the works they create. Partly a result of a love for gossip and partly out of fascination for a life most people will never live, the obsession with celebrities has only increased in recent years with even people who don’t create anything becoming people of interest. Fascination often wanes though, particularly as stars age, a fact which prompts many in the industry to change their look, most often through plastic surgery. While those changes infrequently do much to change the long term prospects of many of those fallen stars, the attempts continue. One such case is Jessica Lange, an Academy Award winner and former bankable star who has inexplicably started to turn into an Asian person.
“I hadn’t seen her for a while, I mean who had really, but when she was at The Golden Globes the other day it was pretty obvious that she has undergone some fairly significant changes. At first I thought she looked kind of like a cat but that was just a trick of the light. It’s pretty clear that she is somehow turning Asian,” said Scrape TV Entertainment analyst Tracey Temple. “I’ve had dozens of emails from readers stating the same thing, that she is somehow turning into some type of Asian race. What that race is exactly is something we will have to wait and see. It will be a fascinating thing to watch.”
This isn’t the first time of course that a major celebrity has jumped race. The late Michael Jackson spent the majority of his life not only trying to switch races but also genders and was largely successful by most accounts.
“The natural assumption is that she has undergone some kind of medical procedures in order to reverse the effects of aging. Being sixty years old in Hollywood is a very tough thing so it would be understandable by why she has chosen to transfer into an entirely different race is something only she knows for certain. Asian actors have traditionally not had a ton of success in Hollywood unfortunately,” continued Temple. “Of course it could be a totally personal choice. She has had a ton of success already and she may not be thinking of her career. From what I’ve read she’s a big supporter for the rights of Monks in Nepal so it could be that she is trying to better associate with them.”
Lange has long lived with fellow actor Sam Shepard who apparently really likes Asian girls.
“It will be interesting to see how casting agents and fans react to this, provided there are still many out there who really care about Lange. It might allow her to transition to a whole new kind of career, a fresh perspective and perhaps even carve a new path for Asian actors,” continued Temple. “After all there haven’t been very many Oscar nominees never mind winners that are of Asian descent. All of a sudden they would be adding a best actress winner to the stable and with a revamped career possibly another one or two in the future.”
No Asian actress has won an Academy Award since 1957, something likely to change as Lange completes her transition.
