FBI ALERTED AFTER NICOLAS CAGE LOSES YET ANOTHER HOUSE

Los Angeles, CA – It has been said that a man’s home is his castle. That is an axiom that, while not literally true, has held truth for centuries. A home is not simply a place to sleep and to keep your things, it is also not simply a place where a family is raised,
a home is an identity. For many home ownership is proof of manhood showing the ability for the breadwinner to provide for his family. Our ancient ancestors took such pride in their caves, fighting and dying to protect them with the same passion we have for our houses.
Of course some people like houses more than others and for the obscenely wealthy being able to indulge in multiple home ownership is an expected perk. Such was the case for Nicolas Cage who at one time owned more than a dozen multi-million dollar properties around the world. However waning box-office clout and serious financial issues have conspired to erode that once massive empire, leading to the sale of a number of homes. Unfortunately it appears that not all of Cage’s homes have made it to the auction block with more than a few of them simply disappearing, no small feat for a mansion. Now Cage has contacted the FBI in an effort to try and track down some of his lost property.
“It’s widely known that Nic has been going through some financial difficulties of late but he is working hard to resolve that situation. One of the many remedies he has been employing has been unloading some of his properties, many of which have increased in value in recent years but that has been complicated by a few missing articles,” said a spokesperson for the actor. “While we understand that it is very difficult for a house to go missing, that does appear to have been the case here with a number of properties. In order for Nic to keep paying back his debts, we will need these properties returned and that in order to expedite that process we have contacted the FBI.”
Because the missing houses are located across different states the Washington Bureau has taken charge of the case.
“Actually, you wouldn’t believe how many times we investigate missing houses, particularly recently. Rarely do we ever see middle and lower income houses, they are generally mansions, but it is very common. We do not comment publicly on ongoing cases, but we are aware that a notable Hollywood actor has requested aid,” said an FBI spokesperson. “As I said these type of investigations are common, though that does not mean that they are normal. Many of these cases involve transport over state lines which increases the challenges in not only apprehending and prosecuting the criminals, but also in actually recovering the stolen property and returning it to the rightful owner. As always, we will try to ensure that we bring this case to a satisfying solution.”
Cage still owns a half dozen homes across the United States which are currently accounted for.
“Unfortunately when someone owns something someone else will want it and the rich and famous are no different than regular people when it comes to these types of situations. It’s unfortunate for Cage who has spent his entire life entertaining people, but it’s perhaps understandable considering how many homes he owned,” said Scrape TV Legal analyst Gabe Hawthorne. “If I owned as many houses as him I’m sure it would be very difficult to keep track and if I lost one or two, well I’d come to expect that. I’m sure Cage wasn’t keeping track very well which explains how they went missing without his knowledge.”
Cage has previously requested aid from the FBI in an ongoing effort to recover his dignity, though the bureau does not actively investigate such cases.
