FORMER SNL STAR VICTORIA JACKSON TRANSITIONING TO LIFE AS A HOLY PROPHET

Washington, D.C. – Despite heaps of critical drubbings and endless fan exodus over the years, ‘Saturday Night Live’ has been one of the most important television shows in history. Since its debut almost thirty-five years ago, ‘SNL’ has become a mainstay
of television, spawning hit movies, cultural phenomenon, and rafts of comedy stars, some of whom have gone on to become bona fide successes in their own right. Despite those ups and downs and the rapidly changing cultural landscape that the show once dominated, SNL’s legacy is likely secure for its incredible influence over generations of TV watchers.
Names such as Eddie Murphy, Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, Bill Murray, Chevy Chase, Billy Crystal, Robert Downey Jr., Tina Fey, and Julia Louis-Dreyfuss are just a few of many people who have broken out from starring roles on the show and become full-fledged stars in their own right. Of course over that length of time the show has seen many performers come and go and even with those success stories, there are even more who haven’t gone on to fame and fortune like their brethren. While many of those may be remembered fondly by their particular generation of viewers, their influence hasn’t spread into the wider world. For a long time many felt that was the fate for Victoria Jackson who starred on the show from 1986-1992 but subsequently
disappeared, until recently. Recent political activism has given new life to the comedian, a fresh path to fame, but also a apparently a path to enlightenment, something Jackson has apparently embraced as she communes with the divine as a prophet come to Earth to spread wisdom to the world.
“You might not say [Obama is a] Communist, but I watch Glenn Beck and he's taught me well. Progressive is the new word for Communist, but it's the same goal as government control of everything and it's very obvious that Obama is trying to do that.” Jackson told Fox News host Steve Doocy. “And I don't want to brag, but I sort of called it before he was elected and when I was on O'Reilly and I said he was a Communist and I got a lot of hate mail, but I got some that said I was a prescient which means ‘a prophet’”
Jackson has been active in the growing Tea Party movement and a vocal critic of Obama since before his election to President.
“Being active in the political realm is nothing new for celebrities, and there is even a precedent amongst SNL alumni. Al Franken, who Jackson worked with on the show, is currently a Senator so it’s not unheard of, however being a prophet is something else entirely,” said Scrape TV Religion analyst Bertram Gas. “Being a prophet is something beyond being simply active in politics, it is a part of the Holy and divine realm. Moses was a prophet, Muhammad was a prophet. Their relation to the divine is profound, and now if what she says is true, we may have entered a new age of enlightenment.”
One quarter of the Republican party currently believes that President Obama is the Antichrist, furthering the belief that we might be witnessing the end of times as predicted by multiple religions.
“I don’t think that seeing this blond bimbo doing handstands or playing ukulele would have brought to mind a divine touch, but the divine works in mysterious ways. It could be that she had this commune with God all along and was simply playing a game, or that it simply came to her late in life. Either way, if this proves true, it will be more than a little surprising,” continued Gas. “What this means for humanity is something else entirely. Religious texts describe the end of times, but like all religious works they are filtered through man, meaning that whatever is awaiting us is something far different than we can anticipate.”
Jackson will next spread her gospel alongside Sarah Palin, who is believed by many to be another harbinger of the apocalypse.
