ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER READY TO MAKE MOVIES AGAIN AFTER EIGHT YEAR VANISHING ACT

Los Angeles, CA – For the better part of two decades there was no bigger action star in the world than Arnold Schwarzenegger. For a brief period of time, there was no bigger star in any genre than Ahh-nuld whose movies raked in literally billions at the
box office. His status as the action hero to end all action heroes may have diminished in recent years, due to a long absence from the big screen, but his influence remains deep throughout the medium, and likely will never be matched again.
For an entire generation the absence of the big guy from the big screen has made him very much a memory, a face from the past, but now after a nearly eight year absence from movie making it appears that Schwarzenegger is ready to make his return. Stating on his website that he is currently in the midst of reading a number of scripts, roles that would mark his first starring role since 2003, Schwarzenegger appears ready to once again take back the box office crown after nearly a decade in the wilds. While it’s not exactly clear what exactly prompted his disappearance from the big screen, his return will no doubt be a big deal to his millions of fans around the world who have been awaiting this day for a long time.
“Currently I'm reading three scripts. One topic/script, which I considered a long time ago... is delighting me particularly. In it I would play an older soldier, who gets the order at the ending of the war to kill a bunch of kids. But he doesn't do it and get them to safety at the risk of his life and it has all kind of adventure. This script is based on a true story!” said the man himself. “I don't have a fixed plan. First of all I have to decide which one of these scripts appeals the most for me, then there have to be the right director and so on. But the movie-making is a part of my future plans. Some day the waiting is over again and I'm looking forward to that.”
Schwarzenegger did appear in last years’ ‘The Expendables’ albeit in an uncredited cameo role.
“This has been one of the more interesting vanishing stories in Hollywood. It happens
occasionally, artists will simply seem to vanish after successful careers. Look at people like J.D. Salinger and Harper Lee. They just simply went silent after a lot of success and the same thing happened with Schwarzenegger,” said Scrape TV Entertainment analyst Tracey Temple. “I don’t think anyone would have anticipated that happening with him. I guess after so much time and doing so many parts he just needed a break, needed to do something else for a little while. I guess that’s understandable but now it looks like he’s getting back to what he does best, blowing things up.”
It’s believed that the front runner for Arnold’s return is a script called ‘With Wings as Eagles’ in which he was scheduled to appear before his mysterious disappearance.
“What will be as interesting as his return, is whether or not he addresses his absence. I
mean he just went silent for so long and was out of the public eye and so it would be fascinating to see whether or not he addresses what happened for all those years and where he was,” continued Temple. “I mean it’s not necessary I suppose. I’m sure most fans would just be happy to have him back, but I’m sure it would be a fascinating story. Anyway, it will be good to have him back on the big screen taking names. I hope he’s happy and relaxed after all this time off. He always said he’d be back.”
Fellow eighties action star Kurt Russell, who most people presumed was dead, is also apparently planning a comeback.
