CHARLIE CHAPLIN BEING SOUGHT TO EXPLAIN TIME TRAVELLER

Hollywood, CA – There is perhaps not a single person in the world over a certain age who hasn’t wished for a time machine at one point or another. Whether it is to go forward in time to see what the future has in store, or the desire to back in time to 
witness a long-lost era or even correct a wrong in one’s life, the dream, the fantasy, of time travel has been a potent and salient thing for most people.
Of course, the scientific reasoning behind any true time travel is marginal at best. No mechanism has yet been discovered that would allow such an action, nor has any scientific principle theorizing a way in which it would be feasible been postulated. Nonetheless, the fantasy persists, energizing fiction and the imaginations of millions with the myriad of possibilities should real time travel ever come to pass. Recently, the notion of time travel has come to great prominence across the web with the recent release of the ‘Back to the Future’ films on DVD and Blu Ray as well as an interesting video purportedly depicting a woman using a cell phone in a 1928 Charlie Chaplin movie. While the footage is certainly fascinating, critics have been out trying to debunk the notion of a time traveller caught on film. Undaunted however, believers are now seeking the long dead Chaplin himself to confirm what actually happened all those years ago.
“Right now the only conclusion that I can come to, which sounds absolutely ridiculous I'm sure to some people, but it's a time traveler. It's kind of strange. You just can't explain it,” said George Clarke, the filmmaker who discovered the unusual clip in the film. “I’m perfectly willing to accept that this is something other than what it appears to be but the evidence simply isn’t there. This position that it is a hearing aid simply does not describe why she is speaking, she appears to be engaged in conversation. I’m sure this can be nothing but a time traveller.”
The film in question, ‘The Circus’, has never been regarded as one of Chaplin’s best pieces, nor his most famous, until now.
“We simply cannot accept this blanket explanation that this is a hearing aid. There is no clear evidence that it is such a device and makes little sense in the context of the scene. Who was this person listening to? Why is she speaking? This is the type of thing people do on cell phones not with hearing aids,” continued Clarke. “It’s clear that this person has travelled back through time to appear on film. The reason no one has seen it before is likely because this has only recently happened. If the past was altered, we would be unaware of any changes as we are caught up in the movement of time. This footage may not have existed twenty years ago but does now because the past has changed. It’s obvious that whomever did this was either affiliated with Chaplin or a big fan and so it’s reasonable to assume he himself was also impacted by this event.”
Various Chaplin imitators are routinely spotted throughout Hollywood but thus far none have proven to be the real thing.
“It’s an interesting notion that some modern day person decided to travel back and insert themselves in a movie but it’s very unlikely. I mean time travel simply doesn’t exist right now and, frankly, very few people talk on the phone anymore and so in the future that is likely to be even more true. If she had been texting then we might have something,” said Scrape TV Science analyst Dr. Howard Poe. “It’s also likely that if they had indeed pulled Chaplin out of the past it would have been done sometime after his last film in 1967. That footage exists and is on the record and so we likely wouldn’t recognize him if we was living in our time. Of course if he were living in the future it would be impossible to see him and ask, at least until we catch up and who knows when that will be.”
Chaplin’s surviving family members have not heard from him.
