FANS DESPONDENT AFTER CRISS ANGEL SURVIVES LATEST STUNT

Las Vegas, NV – Illusionists and magicians have always walked the line between the real and the ethereal, between the impossible and the impossible. Often those travails are relatively mundane, simple parlour tricks that amaze even if they are forgotten 
moments after completion. However, some tricks go beyond the realm of the ordinary and delve into deeper realms, realms that make some believe that magic truly exists and that it can be used to defy the balance between life and death.
Big names in the field have always treaded that line, that is in fact part of what has made them so big. People like Harry Houdini, David Copperfield, and Lance Burton have become famous and wealthy for death defying tricks, stunts that have mystified millions and made everyone wonder whether or not magic is really just a trick. In recent years one man has taken up the mantle once held by those formidable men and in doing so has not only engaged millions, but also brought the medium to all new heights. Criss Angel’s success over 
the last few years has been meteoric and groundbreaking with one stunt after another pushing the limits of the medium. However Angel has alienated many fans and fellow magicians with his controversial stage act, all of whom are deeply disappointed that the illusionist survived his latest death-defying stunt.
“Criss is perfectly alright. This was a dangerous and potentially lethal stunt but he was able survive through wit and skill. This is without a doubt the most dangerous stunt Criss has yet performed and he escaped by only the thinnest of margins. He is resting comfortably and will be ready for his next performance,” said a spokesperson for the illusionist. “Some may think that incidents such as this will dissuade Criss from performing such dangerous stunts in the future but nothing could be further from the truth. Criss will continue to amaze audiences and push this medium ever further forward.”
Angel was performing a new trick titled ‘The Ribbon Blade’ at the time of his apparent near demise.
“As a professional I can honestly say that I have never wished for harm to come to another magician or illusionist until now. There’s a kind of code with all of us, like there is in any profession, where you wish the best for your peers. That just isn’t the case with Angel. No one likes him. I mean we respect his skill, but he is just so irritating himself,” said one magician who preferred to remain anonymous. “He’s the big name right now and he is keeping the art alive for the rest of us, but he’s also making us look like a lot of douchebags, along with that David Blaine guy. They really don’t represent the bulk of the people in the industry and it might be better for them to just go away, especially Angel. When I heard about the incident I prayed just a little.”
Blaine was long believed to have died in a ditch somewhere but was recently seen in a New York restaurant.
“Magic is, has always been, about illusion. The illusion isn’t just isolated to the trick itself but also to the show. A magician could have great technical talent but if he isn’t able to sell the gag with his showmanship the entire thing falls apart. Angel has without a doubt been the most recent master showman,” said Scrape TV Business analyst Ken Green. “That has made him not only rich and famous but also the face of the medium itself, and a lot of people really don’t like that. It’s not only fellow musicians who have a problem with Angel, it’s also a lot of fans of magic who are just sick of his shtick and understandably so, it’s really quite irritating. I guess it’s good that he lived, for him at least.”
Angel would have been survived by his girlfriend of six months, Sandra.
