JAMIE LEE CURTIS’ FATHER DIES OF HEART ATTACK

Henderson, Nevada – Death is a tough thing for everyone but it is often particularly hard when it is some beloved. There will always be mourners in death because somewhere there is someone that loves everyone. No matter how badly a person has
lived their lives and no matter how poorly they have treated others, inevitably upon death many things are forgiven and the loved ones come back to the nest and begin to love again. That is a part of the cycle of life, something we all have to deal with at some point.
That is something actress Jamie Lee Curtis is finding out the hard way after the announcement that her father has died of heart failure. Curtis, the star of such hit films as ‘A Fish Called Wanda’ and ‘True Lies’ is reportedly on her way to the Nevada home of her father to mourn with her siblings and other friends. Though largely absent from the big screen in recent years, Curtis has remained very much an icon throughout the industry. Never particularly well regarded actor, Curtis has nonetheless had a great deal of success in Hollywood due in no small part to her status as a sex symbol in the 1970’s and 80’s. Now Curtis is being forced down to the level of mortals with the passing of her father.
“He died peacefully surrounded by those who loved him…in his bedroom where he loved to be. I'm very happy we made the decision to bring him home from the hospital. He passed in his sleep,” said Jamie Lee Curtis’ stepmother, Jill. “His heart survived many things that would have killed an ordinary man This time his heart was ready to go.”
Jamie Lee had a similar sentiment, stating “My father leaves behind a legacy of great performances in movies and in his paintings and assemblages. He leaves behind children and their families who loved him and respected him and a wife and in-laws who were devoted to him. He also leaves behind fans all over the world.”
Curtis’ father had apparently been a heavy smoker throughout his life.
“This is a really sad time for Jamie Lee Curtis and her family. She lost her mother a number of years ago and so she understands the pain that she will have to endure but that doesn’t make it any easier. Death is death and no matter how many times you have to deal with it, it is never easy,” said Scrape TV Entertainment analyst Tracey Temple. “It’s really sad because she seem like such a nice person. I mean this isn’t something that can be avoided but it’s really hard to hear when it involves someone you have been watching onscreen for so many years. She has always been such a lovely presence even in movies that are obviously well beneath her. Through it all she shines, just as she will here.”
Curtis will turn a stunning looking 52 in November.
“This is always the case with celebrities. They aren’t people we know but because we have lived with them in some sense for so long, one feels like they are intimates. We feel their heartbreaks and their losses almost as deeply as we feel our own, as is the case for millions around the world today,” continued Temple. “Personally, my heart goes out to her. She has always given me such a good time in the movie theatre and I hope that she knows that that has lightened the hearts of many, hearts that are now going out to her. Keep strong Jamie.”
Jamie Lee will next appear alongside immortal being Betty White in ‘You Again’.
