MICHAEL MOORE GOES UNDERCOVER TO REVEAL FAT CAMP SECRETS
December 14 2010
Miami, FL – There has really never been a filmmaker like Michael Moore before. Sure, there have been documentarians, and sure there have been people who used the medium of film to get across a political or social ideology, but before Moore those two

things had never met. In the two decades since he first burst onto the scene, Michael Moore has carved out a unique, controversial, and powerful presence in the film world and in the social discourse in general.
Attacking fields as diverse as big auto, school shootings, corporate greed, terrorism, and medical malfeasance Moore’s films has encapsulated the chaos of the last two decades and made everyone, no matter their political philosophy, think and talk and change in some way the way in which they think about his subjects. That, in short, is the essence of art. It disrupts the status quo and challenges preconceptions, something Moore has done in every single project he has undertaken. Now the director has apparently found his new target and is reportedly going deep undercover, something different for the normally confrontational Moore. As usual, the film will target a problem plaguing all of America, a problem that like all others he has confronted appears to have no end in sight. The target this time; obesity and America’s fat camps.
“Moore didn't look like he wanted to talk. But he sure was fat, even fatter than he looks on TV, like he'd gained a hundred pounds. I mean I’m fat but he is like Orca fat. I was surprised he even walked in by himself frankly,” said an unnamed fat camper. “I don’t know if he put on some extra weight in order to get the full experience or what, but he sure is hefty. I didn’t see any cameras on him but with his size there would be so many places to hide them that I can’t really be sure. Frankly, I want to be in the documentary. I’ve always liked his movies.”
Moore had previously attended the $4500 a week Pritikin Longevity Center and Spa but it’s not clear if that visit had been a part of this current project.
“While you may certainly disagree with his politics, there is no doubt that Moore’s films

have always walked a line, attacked people equally if they do something wrong. He certainly comes at the topic with a perspective and an opinion, but he treats everyone with equal aggression and insight,” said Scrape TV Entertainment analyst Tracey Temple. “This seems different though. He appears to not only be deconstructing the world that has been created, but is also putting himself in the middle of the tale, perhaps acknowledging his own part in this experience. That could mark a totally different direction for hi s filmmaking and could potentially address this issue in the most honest way that it has been addressed.”
Moore has made a point in all his films to include his own personal experiences, generally revolving around his youth in Michigan.
“There has been no more prominent fat man in American media than Michael Moore and he is really the perfect example of the growing size of this problem and there is really no one better equipped to deal with this issue than Moore,” continued Temple. “I’m sure this documentary will be as insightful and thoughtful as all his other works, especially now that he’s willing to fully integrate his own personal struggles. Unfortunately there are no fat farms in Flint, that would have just cinched everything together perfectly.”
There is no title for the new movie yet.
