RANDY QUAID AND WIFE GETTING A LOT OF MUG SHOT PRACTICE

Los Angeles, CA – Becoming a major star is a very rare thing, something many people try and almost all fail at accomplishing. Even the basics – getting a role – is a difficult task for most people and often results in failure. That harsh reality of 
Hollywood makes stories of siblings having success very unusual but that is exactly what happened to multiple sets of brothers in the 1980’s, chief among them the Carradines, the Bridges, and the Quaids all of whom had major Hollywood success in the decade.
In the long term it has been the brother Bridges, Beau and Jeff, who have had the most success but in the 80’s that crown undoubtedly belonged to the Quaid brothers, Dennis and Randy. With huge hits such as ‘Innerspace’, ‘The Big Easy’, ‘Moving’, and the National Lampoon Vacation series, the Quaid brothers could for a little while write their own cheques in a tough town. Things changed though and the last two decades have been a little up and down for the siblings with successes now as limited as flops were at the height of their careers. While both men have stayed busy it has been Dennis who has managed to maintain career momentum while Randy, the Oscar-nominated breakthrough brother, has spent the bulk of the last few years perfecting his mug shot poses.
“Randy and Evi were arrested on Saturday. I will not discuss the specifics of the charges even though much has been made of that in the media already. I will say however that the charges being levied against my clients are flawed and faulty and will easily be tossed out as soon as they see a judge,” said a representative for Quaid and his wife. “They are both in good humour and are very confident that this whole thing will blow over once they see the judge. They are innocent of the charges and we are supremely confident that the judge will see things our way and allow everyone to move on with their lives.”
The Quaid’s were arrested on burglary charges after being found squatting in a house in which they had once lived. The couple was arrested late last year and failed to turn up to court numerous times on unrelated charges.
“No one can say for sure what is going on with the couple of late. It’s very strange behaviour to be sure and it really comes out of nowhere at an advanced age. Very, very strange but also quite entertaining at the same time but one has to be concerned that something deeply wrong is occurring with this couple,” said Scrape TV Entertainment analyst Tracey Temple. “However they are getting really good at this mug shot thing. Normally when unpractised celebrities get in front of the camera they don’t come off very well. I mean they spend their entire lives in front of cameras but somehow they have trouble with these police ones. Like anything it just takes practice I guess.”
As they have done before it’s expected the couple will jump bail and have the opportunity to pose again.
“It’s funny when you look at the pictures. The wife, Evi, looks far more comfortable but then again she did work as a model in her youth. Randy is an actor which means that posing isn’t really his thing, he’s playing a part,” continued Temple. “The newest picture does show a big improvement over the first and the fact that it has only been a year makes that even more remarkable. I can’t wait to see what they do in the future.”
The couple was released on $50,000 bail, an amount they can easily afford to sacrifice.
