THIEF GIVES THUMBS UP TO MEL GIBSON’S NEWEST MOVIE

January 30 2011

Los Angeles, CA – There has perhaps never been any celebrity who has endured the level of exposure and ridicule for his misdeeds than Mel Gibson. True, other people have suffered much greater punishments for their actions, people such as Fatty fatty arbuckle
Arbuckle or any of the people blacklisted in the 1950’s certainly suffered incredible trauma, but none of those have been excoriated as widely or as uniformly as Gibson whose repeated missteps have ostracized him from fans and former friends alike.

Still, Mel Gibson is a star. There is a reason that so many people have paid attention to his actions, the principle one being that he was, at least for a time, just about the biggest movie star in the world, something none of those other performers, save perhaps Arbuckle, ever were. Because of his stardom, Gibson’s indiscretions have become magnified, but so too have his opportunities. Unlike Arbuckle, whose career never resumed and who died at a young age, Gibson has continued to work occasionally since his issue became public. Though he is certainly not the star he once was, something that likely would have happened anyway, Gibson’s movies still command a great deal of attention. That is likely not truer for any other project than the
upcoming ‘The Beaver’ which has been delayed and anticipated for nearly a year. However, now comes word that the thief who stole a screener copy of the film from Gibson’s mailbox has given the film an enthusiastic thumbs up.mel gibson smooth

“I really liked the film. Gibson was really good and so was the rest of the cast. I’m not really a movie critic, really more of a fan, but I have to say that the movie was really good,” said the thief who obviously preferred to remain anonymous. “It’s not ‘Lethal Weapon’ good but still really entertaining. It’s interesting subject matter, about this mentally ill guy trying to get his life back together. I guess that’s something Gibson knows about.”

The film revolves around a man who uses a beaver puppet to overcome his personal problems, including his marriage woes. Gibson has been in an ongoing domestic issue for more than a year.mel gibson young

“I don’t know if the public is going to pay to see this movie. Obviously, I didn’t have to and that may affect how I see the movie but I think it is worth seeing. I would give it like an 8, maybe an 8.1 or so. Quite good but not amazing,” continued the thief. “Ordinarily I would give a more detailed review on the IMDB but I think it’s best to just leave this one alone. Normally the screener copies I get don’t get this kind of attention and so I think doing that could cause problems for me. Maybe once the movie gets out I’ll do a more detailed review but I think people will like it.”

The film is due to be released in theatres in March.

“I doubt that this movie will be the much vaunted comeback for Gibson. Frankly, there has been so much drama that I think the limited public who would still potentially care mel gibson the patriot
about watching him onscreen even in the best of circumstances will be reticent to forgive him. That means of course that the establishment isn’t likely to forgive him because he needs to be bankable, and that is the real issue,” said Scrape TV Entertainment analyst Tracey Temple. “I think it’s possible that he could continue his career but his days as a headliner, as a star, are likely over. People will work with him if he can help the movie because that’s what they do, but the public acceptance is the major issue and I think that no matter how good this beaver movie is, it won’t make him a star again, unless of course they give screener copies to everyone. Everybody likes free stuff.”

Gibson has also apparently had a copy of ‘The Patriot’ in his mailbox since it was released in 2000 but it has not yet been stolen.
