VIN DIESEL SAYS NEXT RIDDICK MOVIE WILL BE HIS RAGING BULL

December 28 2010

Hollywood, CA – Everyone has dreams, fantasies of things that could be, plans for things that may eventually come to pass. Often, frequently in fact, those dreams end in disappointment. Age gives way to responsibility and the realization that just walk of fame
because we want something, we aren’t necessarily equipped to get it, resulting in most dreams simply going unachieved and unsought. While that is obvious for many people working in jobs where the only thing they make is money, dreams are also for the rich and successful, as is the elusive nature of those pursuits.

On the surface it would appear that Vin Diesel has achieved most if not all of his dreams. Despite some jokes and ridicule, Diesel has been able to carve out a successful career as a second-tier action star with successes and failures dotting his resume. While he has never achieved the heights of stars of yesteryear such as Arnold Schwarzenegger or Sylvester Stallone, Diesel has nonetheless achieved more than most people could expect to achieve in their lives. However Diesel is apparently not finished, his dreams not yet fully realized, something he hopes to correct in the next instalment of his popular Riddick series which he feels while be his ‘Raging Bull’ and finally put him on the same level with greats such as Robert De Niro.vin disel fast and furious

“So the director of Riddick, my partner on COR since the beginning, DT... has a new challenge in store. He wants me to have 3 different body looks for this next chapter...” Diesel wrote on his official Facebook fan page. "There is the DiNorscio type, the Dom type, and the lean Furyan type... but all in the same movie, haha... When it comes to art, we all like a challenge.”

The Riddick series has thus far produced two movies. Reportedly the plan is to create a new series of three films. De Niro famously gained 70 pounds to portray boxer Jake La Motta in two stages of his life. De Niro won an Academy Award for the performances but thus far there have been no sequels.vin diesel

“When the first movie came out all those years ago it was really quite a surprise. I don’t think anyone saw it coming and it was a tight, compelling little film. When it garnered some success it made sense that a sequel would eventually come about and even though it sucked, people still paid attention,” said Scrape TV Entertainment analyst Tracey Temple. “It made some sense, despite the financial failure, that there would be talk of another movie eventually. Obviously Diesel and his people have retained an interest in the material and for fans it’s good to hear that the project is moving forward. While details have been scant, it appears that they are trying something totally different with this project, things that could change the perception of Diesel forever.”

Diesel has been nominated for four MTV Movie awards and won one.vin diesel

“Making a dramatic body change like De Niro did always plays well with Oscar voters. That kind of dedication to the craft is something few people actually have and even fewer are willing to exercise and so when they see someone else do it they are naturally drawn to that performance,” continued Temple. “Of course getting is not enough otherwise Val Kilmer would have a house full of Oscars. The performance still needs to be there and the material needs to be strong. That is what they really need to work on but if they can do that, Diesel may very well be in line to pick up De Niro’s crown. I mean he isn’t using it anymore so someone else might as well put it on.”

De Niro reportedly ate his way through the craft services table on the set of his latest film ‘Little Fockers'.
