BILL & TED 3 ON THE WAY STARRING KEANU REEVES AND THE OTHER GUY

Los Angeles, CA – There are many things from the 1980’s that haven’t survived to the modern day. Big hair, spandex, glow-in-the-dark T-shirts are just a few examples of things that were huge in that decade but have simply fallen away in the modern 
world. While there are certainly people who long for a return to those days, for the majority of people the adventures of the 1980’s are best left there, quietly in the past.
Not all those things from the have gone away however, including the career of Keanu Reeves who got his start in that decade. After a series of bit parts throughout the decade, the then fresh-faced Canadian kid hit it big with a small independent film which would launch him into superstardom. That movie was of course Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure which detailed the time traveling adventures of Reeves characters throughout the ages. From that point on there was no stopping Reeves who appeared in movies good and bad before finally becoming a true global star in ‘The Matrix’. Few would have predicted such a career path for the actor playing a dunderhead, but by hook and by crook Reeves has become a major Hollywood player, power he is apparently now using to resurrect his old haunt with a new Bill and Ted movie which will apparently also feature the other guy from the first two movies.
“When we last got together, part of it was that Bill and Ted were supposed to have written the song that saved the world. It hasn't happened. And they've become possessed by trying to do that. And there's an element of time and they have to go back to,” Reeves told MTV. “I know a little bit," he said. "But I don't know much. The fellas (writers Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson) went off and cooked it up. I don't know what happened when they put the elements together. The writers are six weeks away from a draft.”
The other guy in the movie also chimed in on the future of the franchise.
“I know I didn’t expect that Keanu Reeves would have become a star based on that 
movie. If anything I would have expected the other guy in the movie to have become the star, especially since he was in ‘The Lost Boys’ a year or so earlier but somehow it was Reeves, easily the goofier of the two in that movie,” said Scrape TV Entertainment analyst Tracey Temple. “The other guy was the kind of logical anchor in that movie, he was the stable force of the two, the ‘Piggy’ of time travel school assignments. He was the sense and logic whereas Reeves was the goof, the anarchy in the situation, whose screw-ups caused virtually all the drama. Ultimately it was Reeves character, with the threat of military school, that prompted them to go through time in an effort o pass history class, but it was the other guy who rooted them in the current world.”
The other guy has apparently been doing stuff since the last instalment of the franchise in 1991.
“I don’t know what relevance a new Bill and Ted movie would have to modern audiences and that would of course relate to box office, which of course is why most people make movies, or least why people finance movies. I think unless they are able to get a real connection to the modern world, which has changed quite dramatically, it will be hard to get anyone to really want to make it,” continued Temple. “Obviously the world has not been shaped by the ‘Wyld Stallyns’ directly, though one could argue that Reeves’ influence is evidence that they did shape the world in some way, but it still needs to relevant in order to appeal to a new audience, or even the old one. It’ll be interesting to see for sure, especially if they can get that other guy to be good, or at least better than he was in the other ones.”
George Carlin, who died in 2008, will not appear in the movie alongside Reeves and the other guy.
