BRANDON LEE LOOKING FOR COMEBACK SHOT WITH CROW REMAKE

April 19 2011

Los Angeles, CA – There are some movies in Hollywood that are the stuff of legends. Some movies are legends because they deserve to be, because they are well acted, well written, and well directed. Those are the movies Hollywood likes to make, movies heaven's gate poster
that work and engage audiences. Other movies become legends for entirely different reasons, they become known for the nature of their production rather than the final product. For some movies that’s all they are known for, but for others troubled productions only add to the success of the film.

The latter is very much the case for ‘The Crow’, a movie that for many has become a cultural and cinematic touchstone, owing in part to the movie itself, and for the tragic tale behind its production. That tragedy was of course the death of Brandon Lee, the crow himself, while making the film, and incident that nearly shelved the film entirely and deprived a generation of an experience. However the film was made and it became a legend, well received by audiences and by critics alike spawning multiple sequels, and now an apparent remake. While news of that remake has met with largely lukewarm reactions from fans, at least one of the original participants is eager for production, provided of course that he has a major role in the project.

“Brandon wants everyone to know that he is fine, that he is happy and satisfied. He wants his family and his friends and his many, many fans to know that things are brandon lee
alright and that he has never been more content. He thanks them all for their well wishes,” said Madam Mirosia, a local psychic. “Brandon says he has heard of the remake of this film, his biggest role and the one that provided him with so much affection. He feels that this is his opportunity to return to Hollywood and he would like the producers to consider casting him in the role that helped make him famous.”

Lee died in 1993. Rumours suggest that Bradley Cooper will take over the lead role. It’s not clear when Cooper is going to die.

“This was the role of a lifetime and Brandon felt very happy to have been able to play it. He wants the people to know that the tragedy that befell him on that set was a blessing because it allowed him to bring this story to the people, something he wishes to do again,” continued Mirosia. “He feels there is no better role for him to return to, given the nature of the character he played. He feels that he has more experience than any actor could ever want and that there is no one better to portray the role of a man revived from the dead to avenge his murder. This has been the ultimate method acting experience and he is now ready to put it to the test. He wants his shot once again.”

Actor Michael Massee fired the gun which accidently killed Lee. He has not talked to producers about appearing in the remake.the crow

“There has been a lot of talk in recent years about the number of remakes going on in Hollywood and while some of that is valid, most of it is not. Many of these films being remade are old and occasionally not very good and so remaking them is not really that big a deal, though that might change with this movie,” said Scrape TV Entertainment analyst Tracey Temple. “Fans of ‘The Crow’ are very passionate and they are going to be touchy when it comes to the object of their affection. Any misstep is going to enrage them and that will in turn cause alienation, which isn’t good for anyone. Recasting Lee in the role would be a major step towards calming some of those fears, but even if they were able to cast beyond the temporal plane, they would still have to make a good movie. Stunt casting only works if the movie works, even with a stunt this good.”

Madam Mirosia also has a her own talent agency and is apparently entered into negotiations with Lee and his legal team.
