LADY GAGA KILLS AT NASHVILLE CONCERT

April 25 2011

Nashville, TN – For as long as pop music has been around, there have been showmen. Whether it was Elvis with his swaying hips, KISS with their makeup and platform boots, or Marilyn Manson just being himself, the show of music has lady gaga crazy hair
frequently taken precedent over the work itself. Of course that is the show in show business and though frequently criticised in music, it has long been a part of all forms of entertainment. The persona draws the crowds, and the music keeps them.

There is no person more practiced at that in modern times than Lady Gaga who, only a few years after scoring her first hit, has become one of the most popular and prominent pop stars on the planet. With millions of records sold and her every appearance the stuff of tabloid fodder, Gaga has firmly grasped the mantle of all those celebrities before her and taken it to an entirely new level. Though inevitably Gaga’s reign will end, her fan base will fade and new stars will come to the forefront, for now the 25-yeard old singer is about as big as can be, and seemingly only getting bigger. That power was very clearly on display in Nashville on Tuedsay when Gaga played to an adoring sold out crowd, knocking out hit after hit, and killing a handful of fans with excitement.

“Luckily for Miss Thornton they were able to get a defibrillator on her, perform CPR on
her and defibrillate her heart, shocking it back into normal rhythm,” Cardiologist John McPherson told the Daily Mail. “It is only through a coordinated team effort that her pacemaker
successful outcome was possibleIf she had been at home, alone, without anybody around she would not have survived. This is a genetic condition, something she has lived with her entire life and something which would have occurred whether she was at a concert or not. There is no evidence to suggest that her passion for the music influenced this event.”

Thornton and her friends feel differently however.

“We were having a great time. We were cutting it up, joking and laughing like we always do, when she just dropped. She started twitching and she stopped breathing and then her eyes rolled back into her head. It was scary. I was grabbing her face, screaming and trying to get her awake,” said friend Christina Tugman who attended the concert with 33-year old Crystal. “Then the paramedic came and took her away. I don’t remember what song it was when she went down, everything just kind of flashed before my eyes then and I started to panic. I kind of felt like I might be next, like maybe we were all going to go down. I mean Lady Gaga’s music does that to people, it makes your heart go. I feel very lucky that I got away without dying.”lady gaga red carpet

Thornton was declared legally dead for five minutes before she was revived. She will be fitted with a defibrillator to regulate her heart beat.

“From what I’ve heard this is the first incident of its kind at a Gaga concert, but I can pretty much guarantee that it won’t be the last. People are passionate about Gaga and her music and that passion will inevitably burst out again,” said Scrape TV Music analyst Dylan Chambers. “That’s what great music does. It gets the rump moving and the heart pumping. It one of those things that reminds us we are alive, and I can’t think of any better reminder of that than dying. That it is the ultimate reminder that we are alive, and music brought her to that end. Hopefully it won’t be the end.”

Representatives for the singer had no comment on the Thornton case, but instead said “Lady is very thankful to all her fans. She is glad their hearts are into her music as much as her own. She loved Nashville and can’t wait to return.”
