MEL GIBSON TAKES WELL EARNED NIGHT OFF AT COLONY NIGHTCLUB

Hollywood, CA – Until the Charlie Sheen events of recent days, there were no celebrity meltdowns like that of Mel Gibson. Even in the face of the pure ridiculousness of Sheen’s public explosion, one could argue that Gibson’s collapse was much more 
severe owing to what he lost as a result of his descent. While Sheen certainly lost out on millions of dollars, he had long ago vacated the realm of respected actors. Gibson though, an Academy Award winner and one-time biggest star on the planet, lost just about everything one drunken night.
That incident now almost five years old more or less ended the career of one of the most beloved stars in Hollywood history, sparking a downward slide that has only gotten worse in the last year or so. There is little doubt that things will never be the same for Mel Gibson, that no amount of admonishment or reparations will bring him back to his former star status. Aging and known only as a bad guy to a huge portion of the young movie-going public, Gibson will likely never again command massive paydays or marquee status on billboards. Still, there will likely always be some room for Mel Gibson no matter his indiscretions and now that the bulk of his troubles seem to be behind him, after reaching a plea agreement in his domestic abuse case, Gibson appears to be taking it easy by partying at a night club until the wee hours of the morning.
“Mel has been really stressed recently as you can imagine. This whole thing, not only the incident itself but also all the media coverage, has really taken its toll on him, much more so than I think he’s even willing to admit,” said a Gibson insider. “He just wanted a night out, like the old days. He wanted to forget about all his troubles for a little while and just live like a human being for a few hours so he went to one of his favourite clubs and had a good time.”
Gibson reportedly sipped on water and milk throughout his time in the club and helped cover up young ladies on the dance floor with donated clothing.
“Mel has made a real change in his life. He has started to really grasp, what with the anti-Semitic remarks, homophobic comments, racism, sexism, and domestic violence that things really do need to change. That this isn’t the life he wants to live,” continued the insider. “This trip to the club was as much about mending some of those fences as it was about relaxing. He consulted with a number of the young men in the club and told them of the dangers of alcohol, and of course made sure that many young ladies got a safe ride home. He has many children of his own, many older than the ladies in that club, and so he feels a great deal of affection for them and wants to help steer them in the right direction as much as he can.”
Gibson reportedly bought multiple rounds of iced tea for the entire club during his stay.
“It seems bizarre that Gibson could do so much to ruin his life and career and still be in demand, but that is exactly what he will be. I mean he won’t be making a new ‘Lethal Weapon’ anytime soon but he will get work, people in Hollywood still love him even if they won’t admit it openly,” said Scrape TV Entertainment analyst Tracey Temple. “Now that he is making these efforts to go out to local establishments and counsel young people on the mistakes he has made, well that will earn him a lot of points, particularly because it isn’t court mandated. They know in his heart that he’s a good man and there will always be a great deal of affection for him in Hollywood. It’s good to hear that he’s taking it easy and helping people at the same time.”
Gibson reportedly plans on spreading his new message at multiple night clubs through greater Los Angeles.
