NICOLAS CAGE AND HIS HAIR ARRESTED FOR DOMESTIC ABUSE

New Orleans, LA – For nearly two decades the decline of Nicolas Cage has been one of the best documented Hollywood tales. Starting immediately after his peak, and Academy Award for his performance in ‘Leaving Las Vegas’, Cage has been on a 
steady decline both in terms of popularity and in respect. Recently that decline has accelerated dramatically with box office failures on scale matching the best of most direct-to-video stars. Add to that millions of dollars in tax problems and one can easily understand how things are not at their best for the one-time star.
Those problems and the related stress apparently culminated in an event on Saturday in New Orleans which saw the actor getting into a drunken scuffle with his wife and police, resulting in an arrest on suspicion of domestic abuse and disturbing the peace. While details of the event are still sketchy, it appears that this newest issue is not going to help either his current legal situation or his public persona, likely causing an even further erosion of his once formidable success. While it’s likely that due to his middling celebrity status Cage will 
be exonerated of the charges, his stint in jail will do little to aid any potential comeback. Cage though is reportedly quite at ease with his current status, owing in part to police allowing him to reside in his cell alongside his hair.
“Nic is still a little under the weather and this is most certainly not how he wanted his night to go, but he’s doing alright. He was able to scrape together the 11 grand they wanted for bond and is not out and ready to get back to work,” said Cage insider. “He wants to make it very clear that he did not assault his wife and that these charges are the result of some drunken bad behaviour. He realizes that doesn’t excuse his actions but he wants the story to be told properly, just like he does with all his movies.”
Cage’s wife Alice denied that he assaulted her and requested that the charges be dropped.
“He spent a few hours in jail cell which was a new experience for Nic, but one that he 
was okay with. They let him take his possessions with him and he had a cell all to himself. He felt a little down immediately afterwards but he is already starting to look at this whole thing as a
learning experience, something he could even possibly use for a future movie role,” continued the insider. “Nic was comfortable in the cell and thanks the New Orleans police department for treating him so well. The accommodations were excellent and he was treated in a civil and responsible way. Even his hair was treated with respect which is something very unusual for Nic and he wants to thank everyone involved for that respect.”
Cage was released a few hours after posting bond , most of which he borrowed from friends and family.
“There is really little that can be said about Nicolas Cage at this stage that hasn’t 
already been said. He was this acclaimed quirky little actor that decided he wanted to be a movie star for some reason, but of course he never quite fit the mold and that has resulted in an awkward reign at the top, and a whole lot of problems,” said Scrape TV Entertainment analyst Tracey Temple. “Sure he’s lost money, but so have a lot of other people who have bet poorly with him. It’s really a sad decline because it would have been much more interesting to have seen him go in the opposite direction, but alas this is where we have ended. Luckily though he still has support from his family and friends, and has remained follicly intact.”
Cage’s hair will next appear in some movie that will be released eventually.
