POLL FINDS THAT MOST PEOPLE ASSUMED EDWARD FURLONG WAS ALREADY DEAD

Los Angeles, CA – As much as many people would like it to be different, 1991 was a lifetime ago, literally. Those long gone days of grunge music and Vuarnet ski gear may as well have never have happened it was so long ago. Still, many people still have a 
great deal of affection for that year which brought about the end of the Soviet Union, the first war in Iraq, and of course the release of ‘Terminator 2: Judgement Day’.
The latter event was of course not as historically important as the former two, and in the scope of everything that has happened in the world since that year it could be argued that the film was simply a blip, but for its time the movie was a juggernaut. That movie was not only one of the great action films of all time, it also ushered in a new era of special effects that has helped shape modern film. It also provided a springboard for both Arnold Schwarzenegger and
James Cameron, firmly establishing them in the mainstream and preparing the world for all they were about to bring. As much as triumph as that film was it did not 
provide the watershed experience for everyone involved, was nearly as transformative for all, particularly the ostensible star of the film, Edward Furlong, who has long been assumed to be dead, at least according to a poll of Hollywood insiders.
“I was really surprised when I saw him in ‘The Green Hornet’ and I immediately when onto the IMDB to see what was going on and it turns out he is in a lot of movies. I thought that maybe the footage had been shot a while ago, or that they had digitized his face onto another actor for some reason, but it really was him,” said a Hollywood insider who helped organize the poll. “Most people just figured that even if he wasn’t dead he may as well be but there he was, resurrected from the beyond and in 3-D.”
Furlong was in the Seth Rogen hit for only a few minutes.
“I will say that I didn’t spend fifteen bucks to see Edward Furlong and I can’t say that it was a nice surprise or anything. I mean it was a surprise but the quality of the surprise wasn’t exactly what I would describe as nice. It was just kind of there, like the toothpaste that collects on the handle of the brush,” continued the insider. “After walking out I just decided to take an informal poll of how many people in the industry knew he was still alive and really the result was very few, almost none really and those that did didn’t really care. Even the people that made ‘Green Hornet’ didn’t care and most didn’t know how he got on the set.”
Furlong was reportedly paid to be in the movie and is in the credits despite the assumption that he had simply snuck past security and the editors.
“This doesn’t bode particularly well for his future but you could argue that that he didn’t have much of one from the get go. I mean he really lucked into being in that movie and it helped make him far more successful than most of his friends but not nearly as much as other people that worked in it,” continued the insider. “I mean it could be worse I suppose, but not much. At least he doesn’t look like a shoe like Linda Hamilton, but of course she became wealthy after divorcing James Cameron so I guess looks aren’t really all that important. I think most people assume she’s alive, when she dies it will make the news.”
It’s expected that some friends and family will show up when Furlong does actually die.
