U.S. ENCOURAGING SYRIAN PRESIDENT TO GO ON VACATION FOR A LITTLE WHILE

August 10 2011

Washington, D.C. – Things haven’t gotten better in Syria, in fact quite the opposite. Unlike revolts in other countries throughout the region, the protests in that country have been met with brutal force and crackdowns, leaving thousands dead and a nation in chaos. Few expected things to go smoothly in Syria, but no one really expected this.syria riots

In the face of that, governments from around the world are faced with a difficult challenge. Still engaged in, and smarting from, a conflict in Libya over very similar concerns there is very little that external forces seem able to do to quell the violence being orchestrated in Syria, leaving a cycle of death with no end in sight.

The central focus of that violence is the President of the country, Bashar al-Assad who has orchestrated the crackdowns and ordered much of the aggression against the people of the country. Unlike the situations in other countries, though, little has been said about the actions of the Syrian President but now reports indicate that the U.S. may finally speak up and encourage the President to take a little break from killing people, and perhaps get some sun in the process.

“It is a very tough situation for the U.S. and our allies but we feel that things have finally gotten to a point where action needs to be taken. The assaults have gone on a violent riot
little too long and have just gotten more and more violent and that is no good,” said a U.S. insider. “They aren’t taking the same kind of aggressive stands that they did in Tunisia or Egypt for solid political reasons, but that doesn’t mean they can’t encourage him to take a break.”

It’s not clear when al-Assad last took a vacation.

“Being the leader of nation is a big job and tough one and you need to take a break every now and then. He hasn’t really been out of the country since all this fighting started and it is probably taking its toll on him, and that could be causing him to act a little irrationally,” continued the insider. “Stress is a killer and they feel that a little time away will do him a world of wonders. His spot will be there when he gets back and he will be able to do his job all fresh and relaxed.”bashar al assad syria

Officials have not suggested a possible locale for the trip, but are apparently leaning towards a Caribbean vacation.

“They want to assure him that everything will be fine in his absence. He’s a bit of a workaholic and it is tough to get people like that to take time off. They tend to feel like things will implode if they take even a little time off, but the U.S. is willing to step in and make sure that everything stays healthy and sane while he relaxes,” continued the insider. “They are still just formulating the plan because they want to get the wording right. They want to make sure that he listens and that he trusts in them. It’s going to be a challenge but it’s a good idea for everyone. He really needs a break.”

Assad apparently owns a home in Turks and Caicos which he has never visted.
