CANADIAN SERIAL KILLER CLIFFORD OLSON MOCKED ON DEATH BED

Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines, Canada – There are perhaps no more frightening real-life monsters than serial killers. In recent years terrorists have taken over the limelight as the most dangerous of malevolent creatures, but still serial killers hold a special, creepy, place in the hearts and minds of most people.
The actual damage caused by serial killers is nominal, a few thousand people dead across the world over the last few hundred years, but the numbers don’t tell the whole story. Serial killers evoke something primal in us, some deep fear and fascination, the same type of thing that causes us to slow down at car accidents and watch shows about the morbidly obese. Freaks of any kind have always been fascination, and there is little more freakish than a serial killer.
The United States has undoubtedly been the biggest breeding ground for such killers. Though death tolls remain relatively low compared to some other killers in South America and Europe, the sheer number of people killing in secret has never been matched. Some have tried though, including Canadian killer Clifford Olson who was convicted in 1982 of murdering and raping 11 young people over a nine-month span.
His arrest, though, wasn’t the end of the horror Olson inflicted on the Canadian public, making himself into a glutton for attention and constantly mocking the families
of his victims from prison. Now though, Olson is the one receiving the ridicule as he stands days from death by natural causes, and the victim’s families couldn’t be happier.
“I wanted it 30 years ago, so did the rest of us. It will close some doors. At least he'll be out of our face. It's been really difficult for us to heal with him interfering in our lives over and over and over again whenever he chose,” said Raymond King, whose 15-year old son was killed by Olson.
Those sentiments have been repeated over and over again by various victim’s families, though some have privately expressed concerns that this could just be one more way that the killer is messing with them.
“He might not be dying. He could be faking the whole thing. Or he could actually be really sick but then do something like come back from the dead. I wouldn’t put it past him. It has never been enough for him that he took our children from us, he always had to dig it in,” said one family member who preferred to remain anonymous. “I don’t know much about prison hospitals or faking death or resurrection but I think if he found a way to do it, Olson certainly would. He’s really not a good guy and he doesn’t have much in the way of morals.”
Serial killers, frequently, display a lack of morals.
“Hopefully that isn’t the case. Hopefully he really is dying this time. That would make things much easier on all of us, give everyone a sort of closure to the whole thing. But if he comes back from the dead, or if this was just some big ruse, well that would really suck,” continued the family member. “I’d like him to be really dead because it would just be too hard to deal with another gag. This stuff really isn’t funny, you know. He just doesn’t get that people aren’t laughing. It’s really lousy material.”
Olson is reportedly sick with cancer, which usually doesn’t mess around.
