GADDAFI MAY BE THE RICHEST MAN STORED IN A FREEZER IN THE WORLD

Tripoli, Libya – There are few people who have, or will, shed tears over the death of Muammar Gaddafi. The mad dog of the Middle East was shot down like one less than a week ago, and most people around the planet, in his own country and beyond, are just fine with that. Gaddafi was a bad man and the response to his death is the clearest possible evidence of that.
Without Gaddafi, the future of Libya is very much muddy, but one thing is for sure, the people of that nation are finally free. Few will pay tribute to the man who ruled over the nation for 42-years, who killed innocent people, ordered rapes, and plundered the nation for billions. Simply put, most people are glad he is dead.
That doesn’t mean that the legacy of the man will soon be forgotten. No one could have such a massive impact on his nation and then simply be ignored, even if he is locked away in a meat locker. That is true of all dictators but now new revelations that Gaddafi may have been the wealthiest person in the world, worth a reported $200 billion, will make the details of that legacy very much important. After all, $200 billion is a lot of coin and it’s not like he’s doing anything with it in that meat locker.
“We are talking about a staggering amount of money in his possession. No one really appreciates the true value and scope of it. It’s beyond anything anyone has ever accumulated in the past,” a Libyan insider told the LA Times. “It’s going to take a long time to clear this money and even then, because there is so much of it, we may never get all of it.”
A number of factors are complicating the process including the freezing of assets by foreign countries as well as the death of Gaddafi himself which means he won’t be speaking much about his accounts.
Gaddafi was shot in head after his capture. He had no banking information on him when he was captured hiding in a drain pipe.
“This type of money would be a huge boon to the new government of the country and to the Libyan people as a whole. We are talking about $30,000 per person in a country with a per capita GDP of less than $11,000 so that kind of money really is a big deal. It would help rebuild and shore up the economic engines of the country for the future,” said Scrape TV African analyst Claude Contee. “It really is an amazing fortune even for a crazy dictator. Hopefully most of the money can be found because otherwise it will just go to waste. We know Gaddafi won’t be using it anytime soon.”
A portion of the funds will reportedly go to the owner of the meat locker in which Gaddafi is being stored for any lost business.
“Traditionally money is pretty worthless after you have been shot in the head and stowed away in a freezer and so hopefully he left a path that can be tracked, for the good of the Libyan people,” continued Contee. “That would certainly not be the expected thing from Gaddafi, but perhaps in death he can surprise everyone. He won’t be using it anyway.”
Rental space on the meat locker is being paid for out of the pockets of the transitional government.
