HUGO CHAVEZ INSISTS FOUR ROUNDS OF CHEMO HAVE ONLY MADE HIM STRONGER

Caracas, Venezuela – There were many people who, only a few months ago, celebrated the news that Hugo Chavez was undergoing treatment for cancer. While normally such news would not be a cause for celebration, the truth is that Hugo Chavez is not very well liked by a lot of people and his removal from office, either through illness or death, would be a boon to those people. It’s harsh, but that’s the world we live in.
Chavez, though, has always had a fighting spirit. Whether he has utilized that in fighting his opponents in his own country or standing up to the global powers, Chavez has never lacked courage, something which has come in handy in the greatest fight of his life.
Luckily, Chavez also has some help in the form of robust medical treatment. Now, after four rounds of chemotherapy, Chavez has once again emerged and according to those close to him has become even stronger and more powerful than before, possibly a result of some unique interaction between his cells and the cancer treatment. Now many have stated other’s worst fears, that Chavez is even more powerful now that he had been before.
“I am in treatment, with drugs, but all vital signs are good, things are progressing well. Fortunately, the chemotherapy did not affect any organs and had no side effects,” said Chavez during a state ceremony.
Insiders indicate that things are much better than well though, seeing as they do an entirely new side of the leader.
“He is still feeling some effects of the treatment but already we have seen some dramatic changes in him, changes that I would have not though possible in another human being. I mean if it were to happen then it makes since that it would happen to Hugo, but I did not think that such things were at all possible,” said a government insider. “I cannot comment on these things myself, they are things that people will see and will understand when they see them. It is quite remarkable. He is far more than what he was before, far more than I ever imagined he could become. No one else could ever have become stronger from cancer than Hugo Chavez, no one.”
Chavez has been untypically absent from the public since his treatment began but that may just be a part of the surprise.
“He is also starting to admit that he feels much different. This is not something he was willing to admit for a long time but finally he has started to say so. I do not imagine it will be long before he emerges, much more powerful than one could ever have believed possible,” continued the insider. “I believe now that his plans to rule for another twenty years may be at risk. I see no reason why he could not rule forever and bring the country to an all new level of greatness. There is nothing but greatness ahead for Hugo Chavez and the people of Venezuela now that he has become this new thing.”
No date has been set for Chavez’s official return to power, nor his ascension to whatever it is he will eventually become.
