IRAN READY TO HIT TURKEY, ISRAEL, AND ANYONE ELSE THEY WANT

Tehran, Iran – It’s pretty safe to say that Iran doesn’t have that many friends in the world. It’s tough to feel bad for them, admittedly, because much of that isolation has been their own fault, and they don’t appear to be making many overtures to rectify the situation.
That lack of friends has put the nation into a difficult situation of late, becoming very much a pressure point for tensions in many countries, one that has put their few friends at awkward odds with other nations. Iran, though, has not backed away from that awkward situation and, in fact, has pushed things even further by threatening one of their few allies with a full out war if things don’t go their way.
That threat was levied against Turkey which has been acting as one of the few diplomatic ties to Iran, trying their best to resolve the tensions surrounding the nation but now, with rhetoric coming from Iran that they will in fact attack Turkey should a war erupt, the country has found itself in a lsightly awkward spot.
“If Israeli missiles hit one of our nuclear facilities or other vital centers, then they should know that any part of Israeli territory would be target of our missiles, including their nuclear sites,” a senior member of the Revolutionary Guard said earlier this year, which most expected. That aggression has apparently now turned towards NATO sites in Turkey.
Turkey agreed to take on early warning radar systems earlier this year. They have also been trying to affect a political solution to the stalemate.
It’s not clear what side the country would come down on in the case of war, though they have spent a number of years trying to join the European Union.
“This threat really does put Turkey in a tough situation. Obviously they don’t want to be attacked, but they also won’t want to stand against the West which they desperately want to be a part of so they really are caught in the middle. I can bet that many people in Ankara are now regretting getting involved at all,” said Scrape TV International analyst Gustav Hander. “Staying out may not have prevented a potential attack but it would certainly have removed them from the awkwardness of the situation. I’m sure that on some level they thought some kind of friendship was developing with Iran but obviously it isn’t as strong as they once thought.”
Turkish officials have not responded officially, but insiders indicate they are a little sad by the threat.
“Basically it puts Turkey into a position where they have to choose. If Iran was a true friend they wouldn’t put them into that situation at all, it’s really not fair. A real friend wouldn’t make them choose, but that is the fickle nature of Iran and the Mullahs,” continued Hander. “Sometimes you really need to be careful about who are making friends with. Sometimes they will go on and on about how good things are and you even get into hanging out and doing things but then something like this happens and it all falls apart. It’s really sad actually. I feel bad for them, the decision they’ll have to make.”
NATO has not said anything about defending Turkey against an attack.
