NORTH KOREA SEEKING TO END TYRANNY OF FOOD CONSUMPTION IN COUNTRY
October 7 2011
Haeju, North Korea – No matter the country, no matter the culture, the religion, the race or any of the other factors that can divide people we all have one thing in common; food. Everyone needs food. It is the one that that brings us together, the one sole thing every human being has in common.
If North Korea has anything to say about it, that will be changing very shortly. As seems to happen every few years that country is undergoing a massive food shortage, pushing people across the country into starvation and many into death. Reports from the isolated nation indicate that potentially hundreds of thousands of people are currently on the brink of starvation and as winter approaches, those numbers will only increase.
Most of the blame for that has been placed solely at the feet of the North Korean government which has routinely run roughshod over their people. The government, quiet as always, has apparently made little or no effort to stave off the crisis and now insiders may have a reason why; they are trying to wean the people off food consumption dependence forever.
“For too long the country has been burdened by these events and this is not something we want to accept any longer. For far too long the world has made us dependent on their food supplies and that will end very soon,” said a North Korean insider. “They have restricted our food supplies through sanctions and made us dependent on outsiders. The government has decided that this situation can longer be tolerated and that we must become independent of food forever.”
The country has asked for significant quantities of food but that is believed to be simply a bulwark in case their plan to remove food from the diet is unsuccessful.
“For too long the outsiders have made us dependent on their food supplies but that will no longer be the case. Men, women, and children across the country have committed to reducing or eliminating their food intake for good and this will remove any need for us to accept materials from outsiders,” continued the outsider. “It has been a long process but we now have a generation of children who have grown up without food, they have grown used to it, and they are the future of this effort and this nation. It is in them where the future of North Korea lives.”
Many children in the rural areas of the country have been spotted showing signs of malnutrition, largely because their parents hadn’t gotten them used to not eating.
“Starvation is a very serious concern throughout the region and something which will
have a very serious impact on the future of the country, and her stability. If the government there has found a way around the problem that could really shore up the nation and make them very formidable going forward,” said Scrape TV North Korean analyst Lee Joo-Chan. “A nation that does not rely on other nations will always be much stronger. If they have found a way to eliminate this particular need entirely, they will have found a way to reduce their reliance on the outside world, leaving the rest of us with one less tool to fight them. That is a good thing for them, not so good for us. I do have my doubts though, most people like food.”
Officially, North Koreans don’t like food.
