RUSSIA TURNING IT’S MISSILES BACK ON THE UNITED STATES

November 23 2011

Moscow, Russia – A new day is dawning in Russia, well a new old day at least. As the Russian Bear continues to surge in power the once mighty antagonist of the West is starting to rattle its sabres once again, and that is causing more than a little concern for the United States and her allies.dmitry medvedev russia

The latest salvo may be the most provocative yet with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev saying that he will consider turning new missiles on U.S. facilities throughout Europe, a move which many see as a prelude to eventually pushing back the boundaries that have closed on Russia in recent decades.

Specifically targeted are the proposed missile shields in Romania and Poland which the United States has insisted are protection against Iran, despite the countries being right next to Russia. Russia of course isn’t buying that and is making preparations to prep for a launch against the U.S. and anyone else fool enough to follow them.

“The United States and its NATO partners as of now aren't going to take our concerns about the European missile defence into account. If this alliance continues it will stonewall Russia into taking retaliatory action,” said the President on Wednesday.

Those Eastern European countries were at one point members of the Warsaw Pact, the principle opponent of NATO which is also participating in the deployment of the missile shield.

Russian officials are reportedly in talks with Cuba to deploy a similar type of shield in that country, which they claim is to protect Cuba against Bolivia.russian missiles

Parliamentary elections in Russia are happening in few weeks which may be part of the motivation for stirring nationalist tendencies.

“The missile is frankly something that will probably never happen. Deploying and maintaining it is very expensive and the U.S. doesn’t have a lot of money right now and so maintaining it will be a tough thing to do. If Russia is this opposed to it, it may not be a good idea anyways, or a great idea,” said Scrape TV International analyst Gustav Hander. “Russia is flush with cash right now but if they are forced to spend all kinds of money fending off American expansion that money could quickly evaporate and then we are back to the old ways.”

In a separate speech, incoming President Vladimir Putin said that in order to secure the future of the country the government will have to tighten its grip on power. vlad putin

“The one major problem with this is the fact that there are so many countries that could use missile shields, or defence against missile shields that eventually these countries will spend all their money on deploying missiles around the world to avoid a missile shield gap,” continued Hander. “That, in turn, will cause a lot of headaches for their economies and they could collectively collapse as a result. Hopefully cooler heads will prevail and the Russians will just allow the missile shield without argument. That would be the best for everyone.”

That scenario is unlikely.
