IRAN SAYS THEY ARE CLOSE TO NUKES, AMERICA DESERVES DEATH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH

Tehran, Iran – It’s pretty clear at this stage that threats and sanctions are simply not going to be enough to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear technology. While the country still claims that their pursuit of nuclear power is peaceful, simply for power generation, few if any people actually but that. Iran is pursuing nuclear weapons, pure and simple, and nothing seems to dissuade them from that goal.
Not that people haven’t tried. Aside from all the traditional political methods of getting them to stop, including putting pressure on partners like Russia and China, strange things have been happening in Iran. A computer virus that shut down most of their research facilities and odd deaths, including one on Wednesday that killed a nuclear scientist with a magnetic bomb on his car, has made it clear that other actions are in fact being taken, though it has still not demurred Iranian ambitions.
Now it appears that all those efforts really are for naught with officials claiming that they have started enriching uranium in a deep mountain facility, condemned and American to death, and of course threatened Israel and the West just for good measure.
“This is glorious time for the people of Iran and the world can do nothing about it. This is the time for Iran and they will not stop us despite all their desperate efforts to make us into the thing they wish us to be,” said an Iranian spokesperson. “If they do attack us, we will rain fire down upon them with all the will of the Mighty Allah. He will see us through these times and ensure that these aggressive forces who seek to destroy our nation are themselves destroyed.”
Just about the entire world has condemned the enrichment procedures at the Fordow bunker site. They pretty much dismissed the threats. It is a weekday after all.
Iran was not particularly bowed by the anger from the West, just as pretty much everyone expected.
“The start of this enrichment is certainly a concern. Not a huge one, I mean it’s not like it was unexpected. In fact it was totally expected. I mean they are building nuclear facilities and you need enriched uranium to make nukes work so it was really just a matter of time before this started, but still it’s a good opportunity to show outrage,” said Scrape TV International Conflict analyst Mario Martinez. “And that in turn is a great opportunity for Iran to threaten to West again. I mean it’s not like they really need an excuse and they tend to come fast and furious of late, but both sides aren’t really ones to pass up an opportunity.”
Iran, as usual, made no specific threats and the West responded by scheduling meetings and discussions.
“Eventually this is going to come to a head. I mean Iran just doesn’t seem to want to agree with the rest of the world no matter how reasonable to request is. They just like being the antagonist and that has to be frustrating the West. They are trying but Iran just keeps butting heads,” continued Martinez. “I mean they aren’t trying all that hard, really. Real cooperation would be working with Iran to develop nuclear power and in turn getting regulatory oversight, but that just doesn’t seem to be the way things are going and so one way or the other we are headed for some kind of fight, or not. I don’t have a crystal ball or anything.”
In a later message, Iranian officials said something about God punishing the West or something, and a note saying that they would like that added to the original statement.
