ISRAEL DEVELOPS HIGH-TECH DRONE CAPABLE OF BOMBING IRAN IF THEY CAN KEEP IT FROM CRASHING

January 31 2012

Jerusalem, Israel – There are many things at stake in the current standoff with Iran, not the least of which is who will end up being the power players in the region. While few reasonable people expect that Iran will actually use nuclear weapons, should they eventually acquire them, just having hold of such weapons will dramatically change the power structure in the area, particularly in reference to Israel.benjamin netanyahu angry

Long the most powerful military power in the Middle East and throughout the wider area, Israel would certainly be put on notice and on their heels if Iran was able to get the bomb. Any threats, either overt or tacit, from Israel would be demurred if not rendered completely impotent with a nuclear Iran. The stakes will be even, and in an even battle Iran will have a lot more power.

That, and of course the threat of actually using the weapons, means that Israel has little choice but to oppose Iranian production of nuclear technology. That has prompted them to not only ask for aid from the West but to also develop their own devices to stop the nuke program, provided of course they can prevent it from crashing like happened to a super advanced drone that, if not smashed into a million pieces, would have been more than capable of striking Iranian targets.drone crash

“We were very thrilled with the performance of the Heron TP aircraft and we learned a great deal from the short flight. Of course ideally we would prefer the vehicle to stay in the air but still we have learned a great deal from this crash and explosion,” said a spokesperson for the Israeli government. “We have learned that developing these vehicles is a very difficult task which gives us confidence that our opponents will have trouble making their own. We have also learned that it is better to keep these machines in the air rather than crashing them, as I’m sure the Muslims would do.”

It’s believed that the crash was an accident and not something which will be integrated into future design iterations.

The drone, nearly the size of Boeing 737, was said to be in a bunch of pieces, some small and some big.

“Drones really are the future of warfare and it’s good to see that nations like Israel are reaching beyond their comfort zone to try and develop these types of machines. Obviously it’s a tough thing to do well but if they stick with it eventually they will get it, or they won’t, or something,” said Scrape TV Middle East analyst David Gershwin. “Drones are expensive to produce and I’m sure they don’t want to crash them on purpose. They are supposed to be multi-use machines, not one-offs and so slamming them into the ground is really not ideal.”mahmoud ahmadinejead thrilled

Israel likely didn’t spend much on developing the drone, getting the instructions and parts list from the United States.

“If they can make this work they will certainly have a new tool for use against Iran. There is always going to be the possibility of mechanical failure but if they can get past the worst of it they will be up and running and blowing up buildings in Iran in no time,” continued Gershwin. “It’s not really a potent response to nuclear weapons in terms of conflict resolution but it can’t hurt. Well, it could, but it might not. Who knows really, the Iranians are a little nuts after all.”

Iran had no comment on the failed drone test, but if they did it would likely involve fire and ridicule.
