QUEEN ELIZABETH SAYS CHARLES WILL HAVE TO WRENCH THE CROWN FROM HER COLD, DEAD HANDS

January 13 2012

London, U.K. - In many ways the whole idea of a monarch in the modern world seem anachronistic, particularly in a western nation. While seeing such rule in less developed nations can come off as quaint, perhaps even sensible, in an advanced nation with untold riches and a robust democratic system in place it is a little old and archaic.queen elizabeth

Nonetheless, The United Kingdom has stuck with the old ways, just as many other European nations have done. Nowhere though has royalty garnered as much attention, and through that power, as the British Royal Family. Aside from real power – the Queen is the legal head of state for 16 nations in total – the British monarchy has enormous cultural and political sway not in keeping with the concept of democracy.

Luckily, Queen Elizabeth is not like her ancestors. Matronly and pleasant, Elizabeth II is perhaps the nicest monarch the world has ever seen, and certainly much nicer than her head chopping relatives who used to rule the country. For the last sixty years the British Royal Family has been pleasant and beloved, something which may or may not continue in the future as, inevitably, Elizabeth moves on and passes her crown to the next generation, whenever that might be, much the chagrin of those waiting to pull the crown from her pompous head.prine charles

Confirmed in an upcoming biography of the Queen, Elizabeth is determined to hold onto the crown for as long as possible “...unless I get Alzheimer's or have a stroke,” meaning that her son Charles will just have to wait even longer for the old bat to die before he can get ahold of the crown and sceptre, something he will do before she is even put into the ground.

“Charles doesn’t really show it in public but he is getting really frustrated by the whole thing. I mean he is old himself and even if she were t die today, like right now, he would still be limited in terms of how long her will be able to hold the position. Liz is the second-longest serving monarch in British history, Charles won’t have a shot at that unless he finds a way to extend his life dramatically,” said a Royal insider. “He’s not really looking into that, and he’s fine with not holding the office for a record amount of time, but he does want to hold it. The way it’s going he is going to die before her and that would really not be the way he wants things to go, obviously.”

Prince Charles is currently 63 and in relatively good health.prince charles healthy

“He knows that talking her out would not work well. Aside from the political issues, and the fact that people do really like her a lot, she is his Mum and he does love her despite that fact that she refuses to give him the job, or die, whatever,” continued the insider. “He would love for her to just step aside, that would be the ideal situation, but she seems unwilling to do that and so he is just waiting around for her to die. That’s not pleasant, not for the job nor for the family. It’s just not the best way to live one’s life, wishing for the death of a loved one but it’s the situation that Charles finds himself in.”

It’s not clear if Prince William is hoping for the death of his father, an act which would allow him to slide right into the crown as soon as Elizabeth goes south.
