THAILAND RECOGNIZES PALESTINIAN STATEHOOD AND OFFERS SPECIAL ENVOYS TO LUBRICATE PEACE PROCESS

January 21 2012

Bangkok, Thailand – Thailand is a place of many wonders, a place that delivers on every single promise it makes. If you can dream it, Thailand can make it happen. It is the ultimate playground for adults, the Chuck E Cheese of nations where every fantasy can and likely will come to life.thailand ladyboy

Now that country is looking to make another dream, some say a fantasy, come to life by offering their official recognition of Palestinian statehood, adding one more voice to the growing cacophony that seems to be pushing the region to a solution to a long-standing problem.

Of course, the biggest nations, the ones with the loudest voices like Britain, The United States, Japan, and France are not amongst those voices, at least not with the current status quo, meaning that not only is real Palestinian statehood unlikely, but well nigh impossible, even with Thai support. However, in an effort to make their voice count even more the Thai government has sent special envoys to the region, and to Washington, offering their unique services to try and smooth along a resolution to the decades old conflict.

“Thailand has officially recognized the state of Palestine and officially informed all permanent and observer missions to the United Nations in New York of this development. Thailand recognizes the state along the lines that existed before the 1967 war. Thailand's recognition of a Palestinian state is the first of the New Year 2012 and is a new achievement for Palestinian diplomacy,” said a spokesperson for the Thai government.palestninia statehood

The ‘Special’ envoys were not spoken about in the statement, but already a number have shown up at the United Nations offices in New York and around the capital building in Washington.

A number of those envoys will also be sent to Jerusalem in an effort to help relax tensions in the region.

“It’s pretty clear that the world does see Palestinian statehood as an eventuality, it’s really just a matter at this stage of how it comes about. At this stage 80 percent of the world’s population in countries supporting Palestinian statehood, which is a pretty overwhelming majority by any respect,” said Scrape TV International analyst Gustav Hander. “Unfortunately the most important one is not one of those countries and it doesn’t appear that is going to change anytime soon, even with the special efforts by the Thai government. I’m sure senators and congressmen will appreciate the effort, as well as the official in the UN, but it’s going to take a lot of effort to get them to change their minds.”thau ladyboy ugly

It’s not clear if the Thai government will be sending enough envoys to take care of all the politicians in the various cities, or in which type of specialities each will be trained.

“Really, anything to lubricate the process is a good thing. The establishment of an official state, one that can conduct trade and participate like every other nation, will bring stability and peace to the region. Unfortunately you do need some peace and stability before that can happen, which is really eh sticky point,” continued Hander. “Hopefully the Thai recognition will be one more step in that direction. Hopefully too they send envoys to the Palestinian territories which will help them relax a little bit as well, which will be a good thing for everyone, especially them.”

Thailand reportedly remains completely open to sending even more envoys of various disciplines, depending on what people want.
