IRAN DISCOVERS THE END OF CHRISTIANITY, THE WEST, AND EVERYTHING ELSE IT HATES
May 24 2012
Tehran, Iran – Even the most rabid of doubters will not argue the influence that religion has had over humanity. They may argue that that influence has been largely negative with only a small amount of good here and there, but they cannot ever demure the influence itself, regardless of moral posture.
While many aspects of organized religion, particularly the major Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) have certainly become backwards and arguably harmful in the last century or so, those faiths have defined the course of human history since their inception. For that, regardless of your particular faith, one has to give the belief systems some credit.
Now though it appears that one of those religions, Islam, is getting ready to reinvest that influence once again. Despite being the most rambunctious and easily most impactful of faiths of the 21st century, it appears that many followers have found a trump card which will overturn the applecart of civilization once and for all, luckily for Iran. That card is the Gospel of Barnabas which supposedly predicts the coming of Mohammad years before he was born, despite it being written hundreds of years after his death, something which will in the eyes of Iran destroy Christianity, the West, and everything else that they don’t like.
“The discovery of the original Barnabas Bible will now undermine the Christian Church and its authority and will revolutionize the religion in the world,” said Basij Press in Iran. “The most significant fact, though, is that this Bible has predicted the coming of Prophet Mohammad and in itself has verified the religion of Islam, and this alone will unbalance the powers of the world and create instability in the Christian world.”
Indeed, the gospel does predict the coming of Mohammad and if accurately dated to before his birth would show Islam as pretty darned true.
Most experts believe the document was written about 500 years ago which would make it an irrelevant stack of papers.
Currently, the document is in Turkey where it has been waiting since 2000 to destroy Christianity, just biding its time presumably.
“In many ways if this document were accurate and written before Mohammad’s time it would cause a lot of people to question their faith and would, in many ways, prove definitively that there is a God and that religion has been pretty accurate all this time, so it’s important certainly if genuine,” said Scrape TV Religion analyst Bertram Gas. “If it is only 500 years old then it’s kind of nothing. Well, it’s actually nothing at all, just a fake trying to convince people of something and kind of a waste of everyone’s time which is probably the most accurate assessment.”
It’s not clear why Turkey is so eager to destroy the West, having so much wanted to be a part of it for years.
“I would bet that even if this document can be verified it still won’t change the faith of the majority of people. That’s kind of what faith is, really, believing even in the face on unbelievable things so from that perspective it likely won’t change a thing,” continued Gas. “Of course the people who believe in the book will believe in the book regardless of its accuracy or authenticity and those are the people we need to worry about because they are loons and loons are the ones who cause trouble, killing folk and all over a stack of papers. Silly.”
It’s not clear if Turkish authorities will allow tests on the pages to assess its validity because that could spoil the mystery and possibly prevent the West from being destroyed.
